After an unforgettable five days of competition, we've reached the conclusion of the G.J. Gardner Junior Nationals 2026.

From the Individual Championships through to the Interdistrict Teams Event, we've seen an incredible standard of squash, outstanding sportsmanship, and plenty of memorable moments. After two days of team competition and some fiercely contested finals, our champions have been crowned.

After an incredible few days of squash featuring 192 players from across New Zealand, the Individual Championships came to a close on Sunday. We witnessed outstanding performances, plenty of hard-fought battles, new friendships formed, and some fantastic sportsmanship both on and off the court.

🏆 Round robin complete and the boys finalists are locked in! 🏆

After three rounds of hard-fought squash, plenty of close battles, and some outstanding performances across the board, we now know who will be competing for the medals in the boys division of the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior Inter-District Teams Event!

The intensity has been building with every round, and now it all comes down to finals matches as districts battle it out for team honours. 💪🔥

A huge congratulations to all players and teams for the effort, sportsmanship, and energy they've brought throughout the round robin stages. The support from teammates, managers, coaches, and families has helped create a fantastic atmosphere all weekend.

What a fantastic morning of squash as the final round robin matches wrapped up for our girls' teams at the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior Inter-District Teams Championships!

There were plenty of close contests, crucial points, and outstanding performances as teams battled for a place in this afternoons finals. With the third and final round now complete, our finalists are locked in and ready to battle it out for the titles! 🔥

We're back for another big day at the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior Inter-District Teams Championships!

Yesterday delivered plenty of tight battles, great team spirit, and some outstanding squash as districts fought hard to put themselves in strong positions heading into the final round-robin matches. 💪🔥

Round 2 | Day 2 Done & Dusted!

What a day of squash! Round 2 for the boys is now complete, and with that, Day 2 of the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior Inter-District Teams Championships is officially in the books.

There have been some huge battles across the courts today, with every team leaving it all out there as districts fight for valuable points heading into the final round. The energy, sportsmanship, and team spirit on display have been outstanding from all our players.

With just one round remaining for each team, everything is still to play for. Every match tomorrow could make the difference as teams look to secure their place in the finals and give themselves a shot at championship glory.

Good luck to all districts as we head into the final round. We can't wait to see who books their spot in the finals!

The girls are out in force at the G.J. Gardner Homes Junior Inter-District Teams Competition!

The courts have been buzzing all day with players proudly representing their districts, showing plenty of determination, teamwork, and support for their teammates.

With Round 1 complete, attention now turns to the next set of matchups as the girls teams head into Round 2, where every result becomes even more important in the race for Inter-District honours.

It's fantastic to see so much energy, sportsmanship, and district pride on display, with players giving it their all and creating great memories along the way.

What a way to kick off the boys' teams competition! The opening round delivered some massive battles across the courts, with plenty of closely fought matches and impressive performances on display.

The standout clash of the round was undoubtedly between Waikato's Taylor Vette and Canterbury's Benjamin Robb. In a match that had everyone on the edge of their seats, the pair traded blows for nearly an hour before Taylor edged out the deciding fifth game 14-12 to secure a thrilling victory for Waikato. 🔥

With intensity like that in round one, we're in for an incredible few days of Inter-District Teams action!
