You told us you want more flexibility when looking for a home, so we’ve made a change.

Instead of releasing homes at 2pm on a Wednesday, we’ll now advertise them as soon as they’re ready to let, Monday to Friday.

Homes will still be advertised for one week, but you’ll now see them appear throughout the week rather than all at once. If you usually check on a Wednesday, you won’t miss out, you can keep doing that or check at other times too.

It doesn’t matter when you apply. Applying earlier doesn’t give you priority, homes are still offered based on housing need, date of registration, and how well the home matches your situation.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve seen a rise in third-party legal firms contacting our customers about repairs claims. These companies don’t work with us and if you do engage with these companies, you could end up losing thousands of pounds.

The safety of customers is our number one priority, and we'd like to remind everyone that Gentoo tradespeople, and sub-contractors working on behalf of Gentoo, will always carry identification when visiting customers' homes.

We’re getting behind and supporting Jill Scott’s Coming Home Challenge for Comic Relief From 8th June, Jill will tackle an epic 388-mile journey home, running and cycling from London’s Wembley Stadium to The Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

Jill’s challenge is all about helping more people find a place they can call home. Every mile raises money for Sport Relief–funded projects which use sport to help provide safety, support and security for people when they need it most.
