π§‘ In counselling, we recognise that growth often begins when we gently turn our attention towards what is within our control, rather than becoming overwhelmed by what is not.
We cannot control other people's thoughts, feelings, choices, or behaviours. We cannot control the past, the opinions of others, or many of life's uncertainties.
What we can control is how we respond. We can choose to listen to ourselves with compassion, honour our feelings, set healthy boundaries, and make decisions that align with our values.
By focusing on what we can control, we nurture self-awareness and growth, even in the face of life's challenges.
