🐢🦎🐍 At Shell-Tur we rescue and re-home turtles, reptiles, and other exotic animals to provide them with a loving home & sanctuary, some of them are often found released in the wild or being housed in unsuitable accommodation. We are based in Berkshire and have been running for over 7 years, We have rescued and re-homed over
2 Thousand animals and operate across 3 different bases. We will rescue turtles, reptiles, other exotics, fish, and small mammals. We have a passion for conservation, protection of endangered species, and providing education surrounding animal welfare and correct husbandry. We also provide advice and guidance worldwide to both private owners and pet stores. We aim to expand our humble rescue and sanctuary to provide space for many more rescues to come, provide solace and respite for those with life-limiting and terminal illnesses, whilst also providing therapeutic services to those living with disability or mental illness, and offer voluntary opportunity to ex-offenders. Also a we want to offer a place where these animals can be seen and too educate anyone that is interested in knowing more about Animal Behaviours and Requirements. We have also done events consisting of Handling days, Pet Talks, Schools, Birthday parties & Weddings. For any query or information you need drop us a message and our team will be more than happy to help. Our team:

Ryan Colin Stevens – Founder and Owner
Charlie Courtman – Founder and Co-owner
Corryn Hayward – Welfare Manager

Went and had a visit to Morkeys cousins Yoda !!! He is settling in nicely with his new family and loves a lay in. Bigger and improved housing is happening for him with his own mansion house in the garden. He has his favourite "sunspot", loves to try climb up onto people and a good old head, leg and shell scratch.

So today our beloved Sulcata Tortoise Morkey helped his "new cousin" settle in on his first full day in his new home and showed him how to become a spoiled prince 🤣.

Yoda is a 15 year old Sulcata Tortoise just like Morkey. He now has a huge garden and a nice pimped out warm bedding area indoors. His new owner has spent the last year with us being exposed to how we care for Morkey and we are so confident that Yoda will be happy and a great family addition to his new home. Yoda responds to his name and was already comfortable enough to take himself outside to bask in the late summer sun.

You will be seeing more of Yoda in future posts as we are close with his new parents.

This is why we do what we do. The animal is happy and the family who have welcomed him in are beyond ecstatic!!!

See you soon buddy !!!
