Daisy's Dream supports children and their families affected by serious illness and bereavement throughout Berkshire and the surrounding area.

The serious illness or bereavement of someone close, can have a major impact on children's home life, school life and friendships. Parents may need reassurance about their children's behaviour, or advice about how they can best support them during such difficult times.

Get your friends together and join us for our Sip & Paint Christmas Bauble Night at The Post Box Sports Bar!

Enjoy a glass of prosecco on arrival and paint your very own Christmas bauble supplied by the wonderful The Ugly Duckling Pottery Café.

Monday 16th November, 7.30pm
The Post Box Sports Bar, Newbury – Top Bar Area
£25 per person

Your bauble will then be fired by Ugly Duckling and ready to collect approximately 10 days later – so you’ll have something beautiful to take home and hang on your tree!

We're putting out an appeal to our wonderful local community!

This Christmas, we are setting up a very special Christmas tree at Ascot Racecourse, representing Daisy's Dream.

To help bring our tree to life, we're looking for donations of a 5ft green Christmas tree and various decorative bits and pieces to help make it extra special.

Some of the things we're looking for include:
• A 5ft green Christmas tree
• Decorative feathers
• Little robins
• Battery-operated warm white fairy lights
• Artificial flowers in soft pinks, blues, whites, and creams
• Any other decorative bits and pieces that you think might look beautiful on our tree!

✨ Thanking Thursday Round Up ✨

A huge thank you to The Post Box Sports Bar - Newbury for hosting a Charity Race Night in support of Daisy’s Dream!

We’re so grateful to the team at The Post Box for choosing to support our charity and helping raise awareness of the work we do supporting bereaved children and young people across Berkshire.

Following the success of their virtual Race Day, they’re now gearing up for round two with their official Charity Race Night, hosted by the wonderful Smudge! 🏇

We’re looking for friendly volunteers to join us for a bucket collection at Tesco Superstore, Warfield, and we’d love your help!
We’re delighted that Wokingham Choral Society will also be joining us to sing some Christmas songs, helping to spread some festive cheer while we raise vital funds for Daisy’s Dream!

This Christmas, we’re inviting businesses, workplaces, teams, schools, and organisations across Berkshire to join us for Daisy’s Dream biggest Christmas Jumper Day and help us make a real difference to local children and young people facing bereavement.

Christmas can be an especially difficult time for a child who has lost someone they love. By taking part, you can help us continue providing free bereavement support to children, young people and families across Berkshire.

It’s super simple to take part:
- Pick a day that works for your school, business or team
- Wear your favourite Christmas jumper
- Ask everyone taking part to make a donation to Daisy’s Dream
- Take some festive photos and share them with us!

It doesn’t have to stop at Christmas jumpers! You could make it a festive team day, have a Christmas jumper competition, decorate your workplace or add your own fundraising ideas, collect bottles for us to use in our raffles.

At Daisy’s Dream, we have to raise over £500,000 each year to continue providing our services free of charge to families who need us.

If you’re interested in taking part, please get in touch and we will be happy to send you everything you need to get started.

Let’s make Christmas a little brighter for children facing bereavement.

We were delighted to recently deliver our very first two-day volunteer training course, welcoming and equipping our new team of Volunteer Support Workers with the knowledge and skills they need to support children and young people experiencing bereavement.

We’re so grateful to the John Sykes Foundation for funding this training and helping us grow our team of dedicated volunteers. Their support will help us continue to be there for children and families when they need us most.
