Could you be our next HR Manager? We are looking for someone experienced to oversee all aspects of HR within the charity.

You will provide direction, support and oversight on all aspects of HR management, including: administration; recruitment; staff supervisions and appraisals; compliance with employment regulations; training; performance and talent management; grievance, disciplinary, and capability procedures; salary structure and employee benefits; and organisational personnel planning. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities.

We currently have a vacancy for a full- or part-time HR Manager here at Yeldall Manor.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work at our established Christian recovery centre in Berkshire. You will provide direction, support and oversight on all aspects of human resources management including: HR administration; recruitment; staff supervisions and appraisals; compliance with employment regulations; training; performance and talent management; grievance, disciplinary, and capability procedures; salary structure and employee benefits; and organisational personnel planning.

As a small charity (c. 43 salaried staff and casual workers, plus volunteers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with management responsibilities. You'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

For more details and to apply, please see the advertisement on Charityjob. Closing date: 14th May.

Your support makes a difference:

In 2025, 64% of our residents reported an improvement in how they managed their physical health
60% said that they were more able to fill their time well
76% felt better-connected with people who support them
80% said that they were managing their emotional and mental health better.

Men are seeing in an improvement in so many areas of their lives - physical, emotional and spiritual - thanks to your support. They, and we, are very grateful.

Outcomes monitored through the Drug & Alcohol Star (c) Triangle Consulting Social Enterprise

Housekeeping Supervisor wanted, 24 hours per week.

We’re looking for a caring, motivated person to help maintain a clean, comfortable, homely environment while supporting residents as they rebuild their lives.

In this rewarding position, you will help ensure the cleanliness of our buildings while working alongside our male residents who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Although you will sometimes carry out practical cleaning tasks yourself, a key part of your role is to support, motivate and guide residents as they take responsibility for the majority of the cleaning as part of life in community.

“As you travel up the long drive for the first time, the shadows of the giant firs seem to wrap themselves behind you as if the process of closing what you are leaving begins there. The building has a majesty and history all of its own, decades of followers have graced the rooms and corridors. Years of love and prayer have been invested within the walls and the moment you make your own connection it finds itself in your heart, forever feeling like home.”

After sharing these images earlier this week, I thought they fitted these wonderful words from the late Scott Baxter, a former resident.
