This morning we’ve opened our gates to leaders, parents and helpers to come and lend a hand tidying and clearing space around the hut. The side of our building is now a clear space ready for the next stage of our plan, turning it into an outdoor classroom area.

Additionally we stripped the side of the shop and are re-cladding it, greatly improving the visual appearance of the building.

End of day two.

Millions of miles walked… Lots of very sore feet… something nutritious needed to be eaten … sleep to catch up on. And two scouts moving up to explorers.

A great effort all round. All backed by the great bunch of leaders.

This weekend our scouts are on their expedition camp. Glorious weather, the complete opposite of the last time we did this camp 2 years ago.

Two days of hiking with an overnight camp they have to set up and food they have to prepare.

A rather easy one for the leaders who meet them at pre arranged checkpoints. ;)
