We are delighted to hear that the Reading Women's Team are coming home!

The Reading FC Community Trust did an incredible job to look after the team during a period of uncertainty and without them stepping in we would have no women's team.

At last young girls will have a team to follow in Reading and a clear pathway that will allow them to put on the blue and white hoops. None of this would have happened without Emma Hopkins, who has worked tirelessly to keep the team going. Fantastic to see that
Rick Catania and Alec Lundberg understand, and are leading the vision to push the team forward.

I was pleased to visit Reading FC’s Alternative Provision at South Reading Leisure Centre on Friday 17 April and see first-hand the fantastic work being done to support young people in our community.

Working with 15–20 young people each day, the programme supports those who are struggling to keep in school or who have got into trouble with the police, offering guidance and a positive environment to learn and grow.
