ACT volunteers returned to Chwadi Public Secondary School, keeping their promise to the children affected by the floods. The school now cares for 74 children aged 4 to 17, including 41 displaced from Trisuli. Warm jumpers and essential hygiene products were provided for the children, including sanitary products for teenage girls.

The team also visited the disability home and a temporary shelter, bringing warm clothes, hygiene supplies and snacks, while offering much-needed emotional support to people who have lost so much.

In Trisuli, one of the worst-affected areas, bridges are still waiting to be rebuilt. Until then, people are risking their lives to cross the fierce river by rope.

What can we do for our society, our community, and our world?

Many of us are aware of the devastating floods in Nepal and the precious lives that were lost. Among them were those who served the Kailash Yatris with unconditional love, compassion, and selflessness.

In remembrance of these beautiful souls, Rashila ji, through the ACT Foundation, decided to cook for the Olympic House as a heartfelt tribute to their lives, their service, and the love they shared with others.

A small gesture of love, gratitude, and remembrance.

ACT Foundation UK with The Way Ministry, Reading

The Way Ministry works passionately to support people experiencing homelessness and those in need. Every month, ACT Foundation UK cooks and delivers 75 meals for people visiting its centre on Oxford Road, Reading.

“If you are volunteering, I would like you to be sincere volunteers, not casual, because it’s not ordinary work. If you are really sincere, I would like you to do at least half an hour of work every day.” — Mohanji

Inspired by these words, we warmly congratulate our youth volunteers, who made time alongside their studies and extracurricular activities to cook and deliver meals, accompanied by an adult volunteer. Such commitment at a young age takes compassion, determination and a heartfelt willingness to serve.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Mohanji for this extraordinary platform, which gives us the opportunity to serve selflessly and add value to our community. 🙏

These heartfelt words came from a university student after ACT Foundation UK volunteers donated and delivered the luggage and storage containers he needed, saving him a bus journey. 🧡

Things that seem basic and ordinary to us can mean so much to someone else. When we step forward to offer selfless service, something within us shifts too—we feel the joy of making another person’s life a little easier.

Never hesitate to help. Even a simple smile can brighten someone’s day.
