Congratulations to everyone opening their GCSE results today! A special shoutout to all the young people who were born premature or sick, like Stanley. πŸ’™

Stanley sat his GCSEs this year and will soon be starting his mechanic apprenticeship, but sixteen years ago he was a baby in neonatal care. Stanley and his mum Katie had their photos taken for Bliss whilst in NICU at Southmead Bristol. Sadly, Stanley lost his twin brother George at just over 6 weeks old.

Stanley is now a healthy, happy teenager who is collecting his GCSE results today!

Whether you or your child are getting results for GCSEs, A-Levels or any other milestones this summer, we wish you luck on your next chapter!

We'd love to hear your stories in the comments. πŸ’™πŸ‘‡

This week, we recognise and celebrate rainbow babies, while remembering the babies who are no longer with us. We also acknowledge the strength of parents navigating pregnancy and parenthood after loss. πŸ’™

However your story looks, you are not alone, support is available through organisations like Tommy's, Willow’s Rainbow Box and Sands - baby loss charity.

Noah was born via an emergency C-section in Glasgow, Scotland.

His mum Ashley opens up about how difficult it is for parents when they aren't offered psychological support after having a baby admitted to neonatal care, and the difference it can make.

You can watch her full story here πŸ‘‰ https://youtu.pulse.ly/ylw7pxxdkp

This story is part of the launch of our Neonatal Services for the Future in Scotland manifesto, outlining three key issues.

If you need support, please get in touch with our support team via DMs or email [email protected]

Congratulations to everyone receiving their A Level results today! πŸŽ‰

Alfie was born at 26 weeks, weighing just 2lbs 7oz. This year he completed his A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Computer Science and is going on to study Electronic Engineering at university. Alfie has come a long way since that small baby in a neonatal unit...he is now 6 foot 2!

Well done to Alfie and everyone receiving results today! Whatever your results are, your resilience and strength have brought you to this incredible moment. πŸ’™

Alfie's mum Julia hopes that sharing Alfie's achievements will help other families of babies born premature or sick.

Whether you're a former neonatal baby celebrating your results, or a proud parent, we'd love to hear your stories in the comments below! πŸ‘‡πŸ†
