✏️Technical Taster - Wednesday 7 October, 12.30pm to 4pm

We're delighted to announce that our popular Taster sessions for theatre-makers and aspiring stage managers/technicians are back for the Tristan & Yseult tour in 2026 and 2027. We'll be adding more dates and venues to the website, so keep an eye on https://loom.ly/XASQzTk for the latest schedule.
First up is our Technical taster on 7 October. If you're an aspiring stage manager or theatre technician and you'd like to gain insight and learn from our talented team, this half-day workshop is a brilliant opportunity to look behind the scenes and gain hands-on experience with elements of backstage work including show calling, sound mixing and prop setting.
We’re looking for people at the start of their career. You don’t need specific experience in mixing sound or show calling, but you should have some experience working backstage. This could be through training, youth theatre, community projects or amateur productions.
We’d love to hear from emerging Stage Managers, Wardrobe, Sound, Lighting and AV Technicians interested in touring theatre. If you come from film, TV or music production and want to explore theatre, this could be for you too. The session is free and limited to nine places, so don't delay!
At Emma Rice Company, we are passionate about nurturing the next generation of technicians. We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to join us and influence our work. We are particularly keen to hear from people who consider themselves underrepresented in the theatre industry.
As the workshops travel with the show and we'll be adding more dates, preference is always given to local applicants.
