We are an independent charity led by local people, working to preserve, protect and improve Ruskin Park

Ruskin Park is a large park located between Camberwell, Brixton and Herne Hill in South London. The Friends of Ruskin Park ensure our park is well cared for and maintained, and has a planned and healthy future, preserving it for future generations.

☀️ What. A. Day. ☀️

Despite the soaring temperatures, you all turned out in force and made this year's fete one to remember! 💛

From the incredible live music 🎶 to the amazing atmosphere, the park was absolutely buzzing from start to finish. Families, friends, neighbours and visitors came together to celebrate our wonderful community, and it was fantastic to see the park so full of life all day long. 🌳✨

A huge THANK YOU to all of our brilliant traders 🛍️, performers 🎤 and, of course, our incredible volunteers ❤️. None of this would be possible without your hard work, generosity and enthusiasm.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along, supported the event and made it such a special day. We had an amazing time - we hope you did too! ☀️🎉

📚✨️ We're delighted to be welcoming The Paper Cat Children's Bookshop to this year's Ruskin Park Summer Fete!

Local author and illustrator Frann Preston-Gannon will be running two FREE storytelling and craft workshops at 2:15pm and 3:15pm, perfect for children aged 3-8 🎨✂️📖

A huge thank you to The Paper Cat for generously donating their time and creativity to help make the fete so special 💛 If you haven't discovered this wonderful independent bookshop yet, they're well worth a visit 😺📚

🎪 The Ruskin Park Summer Fete is just around the corner! ☀️

Join us on Saturday 27 June from 1–6pm at the bandstand for live music, local food & drinks, craft stalls, kids’ activities, storytelling, face painting and much more 🌿🎶🍰

With African acrobats, Pimms, Aperol Spritz and free entry, it’s shaping up to be one of the best days of the Ruskin Park summer 💛

Bring your friends, neighbours and picnic blankets and come celebrate with us 😎

A little over a week ago, our community volunteers came together to celebrate the everyday acts of kindness, care and connection happening across the UK as part of the A Million Acts of Hope campaign 💚

A huge shout out to all our tireless volunteers and all the people running, supporting and representing our park community 🫂

☀️ The paddling pool is back OPEN at Ruskin Park 💦

It’s freshly chlorinated, filling up through the day and ready to help everyone cool off 🌿

We’ve also got some lovely new picnic benches in place for families and park users to enjoy 🧺💛
