We’ve taken the time to fully digest the amended Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Code of Practice.

The new Code empowers those who want to exclude trans people from services and spaces and makes life harder for those who want to support trans people.

In our full response, we’ve broken down what’s happening and what the changes mean for services and trans people: the good, the bad and the ugly. Yes there’s some good in there too.

Pride season is nearly here!

We’ve complied a list of all the Trans Prides we can find. Let us know if you know of any others and we’ll share them too.

This is just a list of *Trans* Prides in the UK who have announced 2026 dates – we’ve not included Pride events in general, but of course you are welcome to attend as many Prides as possible!

The amended EHRC Code of Practice has been released.

Lots of people will make claims about what is and isn’t going to happen as a result, and there will be many different interpretations of the Code in the next few days. We urge everyone not to jump to conclusions.

We’re taking time to seek legal advice and understand its impact on trans lives, and on our services. Whatever happens, we’ll never stop creating spaces where trans people thrive and building futures where trans people belong.

We’ve launched a brand-new group for trans parents!

For so long, we’ve heard that parents who are transitioning need a space to come together.

This new space will support trans parents to navigate the complexities of transition while parenting and accessing trans health care, while maintaining caring responsibilities and being a parent.

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

This year’s theme is “At the heart of democracy”, a powerful reminder that truly democratic societies must have full meaningful equity and justice for all.

Across the world Governments are pushing through authoritarian policies and exclusionary legislation that targets trans people, including the EHRC’s Code of Practice here in the UK.

But our communities and allies have the power to fight back through solidarity and collective action. And our communities have the power to nurture us, and bring us joy.

We’ve survived regressive laws and Governments before, and we’ll do it again if we must.

Our CEO and co-founder, Jay will be speaking at this year’s Pink Therapy Conference in Preston on 22 August.

Jay will be exploring what it means to support trans, non-binary and gender-exploring people in a time of heightened social, political and cultural pressure and how the intersection between trans activism and the therapeutic and counselling field builds hope.

Other incredible keynote speakers include:
• Shon Faye, author of The Transgender Issue: An Argument for Justice
• Activist Ali Bromley
• Dr Raawiyah Rifath, whose research addresses LGBTQIA+ asylum in the UK
• Dr Dwight Turner whose scholarship shapes contemporary thinking in the field

The Conference is for psychotherapists and mental health practitioners seeking to deepen their work with gender, sexuality and relationship diverse clients – and for LGBTQ+ practitioners.

They also welcome activists, researchers, journalists, students and early-career scholars who want to interrogate, challenge and extend their field.

Want to inspire trans young people?

We’re looking for trans panellists for an upcoming community event, Imagining Our Futures, taking place on Saturday, 30th May (12–5pm) in London.

Each year, Gendered Intelligence runs this event for young trans and gender diverse people and their parents/carers, focusing on work, careers and activism. A key part of the day is a panel of trans adults sharing their experiences — and we consistently hear how powerful and transformative this is for young attendees in shaping how they see their own futures.

We’re currently looking for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse panellists from a wide range of backgrounds to share their work, career or activism experiences.

Event details:
📅Saturday 30th May 2026
⏲️ 12:00–17:00
📍London
💸£50 speaker fee + travel expenses

We know this fee may be below typical speaking rates; this event is rooted in a community “giving back” ethos.
