𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀, let us care for you 🤗

Make time for yourselves at Fitzrovia Community Centre on Monday 8th June 2026, 11.30am-2.30pm.

As part of Camden Council's Carers' Week Programme, we will be treating you to:

- Tea & Coffee with homemade scones, biscuits, and cakes (11.30am-1pm) – a relaxed space for friendly chats with other carers
- Tai Chi taster session (12.15pm-1pm)
- Bookbinding – a mindfulness crating (1pm-2.30pm) - 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥

This event is a part of Carers Week - an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It can also help people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support. The theme for Carers Week 2026 is 'Building Carer Friendly Communities'.

Thanks to funding from Camden Council, everything is FREE of charge.

Superwoman Cllr Elizabeth Amos joined us last week at our Stay & Play, having successfully stood for local election with a tiny newborn!

Here she is with sleeping baby, clapping her hands because she's happy and she knows it 😁 👏🏽👏🏽 alongside other local mums and their little ones. (No dads yesterday - Dads, we missed you!)

We hope to see more of her while she's on mat leave ❤️❤️❤️.

We're not afraid of a bit of heat. Come find us at Fitzrovia Community Centre, from 2-5pm, for our ever popular Repair Cafe.

If this heat wave teaches you anything, it's to look after our planet. Don't ditch it, fix it!

It's 30 degrees outside, you dig out your trusty old fan from the back of the cupboard. You go to turn it on, but.... 😫!! It won't turn on!!

Don't worry, we've got you.

Our Repair Cafe volunteers will be there, as usual, this Sunday, from 2 to 5pm.

Bring along your broken fan or any other household electricals you want to save from going in landfill and our skilled volunteers will mend them for you, if they can.

Bring your clothing repairs along to be taught by one of our talented sewing volunteers how to fix it.

No materials necessary. Just bring your item.

Look no further - come along to our Repair Cafe event, we will help you!

Electricals are repaired by our electricals team, and we have people on hand to show and guide you through clothing repairs, be it holes in jumpers or jeans, broken zips or lost buttons. 🧵 🔌

All whilst enjoying a chat, hot drink and slice of cake. 🥮
