Later this month, we’re bringing the frontlines of the past year to Central London — through the images that defined it - in a special exhibition for .
‘Being There: Witness, Truth & Trust’ is not just an exhibition. It’s a direct account of what it now takes to report the truth — and the price many freelancers are paying to do it.
Grateful to our friends at , , and - and to Charlie .art__gallery.
Truth doesn’t arrive on its own. It depends on people willing to be there. And if that disappears, so does our ability to understand the world as it really is.

In 1914, the poet Rupert Brooke wrote of “a corner of a foreign field that is forever England”. Nearly 4,000 British soldiers, sailors and airmen are buried in Bayeux. Beside them is a wood which is rapidly becoming a piece of Palestine.

At the most dangerous time in modern history to be a journalist, those who target the media can silence us. They cannot — and will not — stop the truth being told/
