Huge congratulations to the Jefferies Industrials & Business Services Team, EMEA, who smashed the Hever Castle 70.3 Relay in support of Cosmic! 🎉

For their colleague ,this challenge was personal. Earlier this year, Ritika’s five-year-old son Ariv spent nearly two months in our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, where her family experienced firsthand the support Cosmic provides to families at their most difficult moments.

Twelve teammates, swim caps on and legs (probably) still aching, took on the challenge together - raising vital funds with every mile to support families like Ritika’s.

Thank you, Jefferies team, for your incredible effort and for choosing to support Cosmic. We’re so grateful!

A huge congratulations and thank you to Charlotte and John!

Two weeks ago, this incredible father and daughter duo braved the cold waters of the Serpentine in London to take on Swim Serpentine for Cosmic. We’re so proud of you both, and so grateful for your determination, your teamwork and every stroke you swam for us. 🌊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Your efforts will help us to continue to support babies and children in intensive care, their families and the dedicated NHS teams caring for them at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith.

Sometimes a hospital stay happens with no warning. No time to pack a bag.

When a child is admitted and their family needs to stay close by, there i’s rarely time to think about the basics. That’s why every family staying at Cosmic House, on the grounds of St Mary’s Hospital, receives an emergency toiletry bag on arrival:

⭐ A toothbrush
⭐ Deodorant
⭐ A wash kit
⭐ The small essentials

So they don’t have to leave their child’s side to sort out life’s practicalities.

Cosmic House is more than a bed for the night. It’s a home away from home, offering families a quiet space to rest and the reassurance of staying close to their child - all completely free, so they can focus on what matters most.

As one mum put it:

“Cosmic House was our safe haven in such an uncertain period and allowed us to remain a family unit... though we couldn’t all be home together, we had Cosmic House which was our home in a really uncertain time of our lives.”

Since September 2025, Cosmic House has provided 2,342 nights of accommodation to 354 families. Every one of those nights, and every emergency toiletry bag handed over at the door, is only possible because of your support.

This is exactly what our By Their Side appeal is raising funds for, £50 covers the cost of a one night stay for a family at Cosmic House. A gift of any size helps us keep the doors open, so that when a family arrives with nothing, we can meet them with everything they need to stay together. Click the link in our bio to donate. 🩷

When a baby or child is admitted to intensive care, life can change in an instant.

We’re incredibly grateful to our Patron, , for standing with families through our By Their Side appeal.

Cosmic is there when families need us most - providing a free place to stay just steps from their child’s bedside, practical support to get through the longest days, and emotional support during intensive care and beyond.

By Their Side is about making sure no family faces intensive care alone.

Every donation helps us keep showing up for families when it matters most.

Thank you, Fay, for standing by their side with us. 🩷

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers from

The team kindly sponsored and packed activity gift bags for families on our units at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith.

Each bag is filled with things to do for parents and siblings, helping to pass the long hours spent at a child’s bedside, alongside practical items that make those days a little easier.

Having a baby or child in intensive care can turn a family's world upside down, and brothers and sisters often feel it too. These bags bring a moment of distraction, comfort and care when it is needed most.

Thank you, Visa, for your time, generosity and kindness. You've made a real difference to the families we support. 🎁

Today is NICU Awareness Day.

Around 1 in 7 babies born in the UK are admitted to a neonatal unit, whether they are born prematurely or full term but unwell. That’s thousands of families every year suddenly living a reality that they never pictured.

No parent imagines their baby’s first days being spent like this: standing beside an incubator instead of cradling them in their arms; having to ask before they’re even allowed to hold their own child’s hand; some days, just getting through minute by minute, and calling that a win.
And in the middle of it all, Cosmic is there.

At St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith, we support families through some of the most difficult and uncertain moments of their lives, from the practical to the emotional, so no one faces it alone.

This is exactly what our By Their Side appeal is about: making sure that whatever a family is facing, they know that Cosmic is right there with them.

To every NICU parent reading this, we see you. And to everyone able to help us support families like yours, please consider donating via the link in our bio.

When a child is critically ill in intensive care, the last thing a family should have to worry about is where they’ll sleep that night.

That’s why Cosmic House exists: a home from home just a few steps from the PICU at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. We call it “pyjama walking distance” - close enough for a parent to be back at their child’s bedside in moments, day or night.

Everything at Cosmic House is designed around what families need during an incredibly difficult time. There’s a playroom where brothers and sisters can simply be children again, away from the intensity of the unit. A shared kitchen gives parents somewhere to prepare a warm meal. Twelve bedrooms provide a safe and comfortable place to rest while staying close to their child. There’s also a study room for parents who need to keep working, and laundry facilities for families who may have arrived at hospital unexpectedly and without everything they need.

Cosmic House is more than somewhere to sleep. It provides stability, comfort and the reassurance of knowing you can stay close when your child needs you most.

£50 can cover the cost of one night’s stay for a family at Cosmic House. Every night matters.

Our By Their Side appeal will help us keep Cosmic House there for families when they need it most.

If you’re able to, please donate today via the link in our bio and help us stay By Their Side. 🩷

Meet , one of our amazing runners taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Cosmic this October! 🏃‍♀️💛

Last year, Amy’s son Dougie was cared for on the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. Now Amy is lacing up her trainers to give back and help Cosmic be there for families like hers during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
When a child is critically ill, life can change in an instant. Every mile Amy runs helps us continue to support families through the fear and uncertainty of having a child in intensive care.

We’re so proud to have you on Team Cosmic, Amy. Please join us in cheering her on, and if you’d like to support Amy’s fundraising, click the link in our bio to donate to her page.

When Carly’s youngest, Freddie, was just three weeks old, he was rushed to PICU at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, after being transferred from Basildon Hospital. A virus had led to a chest infection and suspected sepsis, and Freddie had to be put on an oscillating ventilator.

In the middle of that terrifying uncertainty, Cosmic was there. Not just for Freddie, but for Carly and her family too.

Today, Freddie is a cheeky, fit and healthy little boy. Carly is forever grateful to Cosmic for looking after them when they needed it most.

This is what our new By Their Side appeal is all about. Cosmic is here to make sure no family ever has to face having a child or baby in intensive care alone.
