We have three channels; direct help, indirect help and fundraise your own cause/connect.Whether it be as little as building a water pump in a poverty stricken village to as big as building a school to educate under privellaged children, the unity foundation would like to make that change directly. Every year, our ambassadors will gather together in order to share various thoughts and ideas on what
change they would directly like to do. Once a decision has been made by all, one cause will be chosen by the foundation. Ambassadors will embark on various journies in order to raise awareness of what change the foundation would directly like to make. 100% of the donations which the foundation recieves will be chanelled to the project and throughout the year tailored fundraising events will take place in order to raise awareness and funds for the direct help we hope to give. Along with the foundations fundraising events, both ministers and ambassadors may have the opportunity to fundraise for this cause if it appeals to them. As a new foundation, we hope to expand on the direct help we give during the future whether that be locally or international. The unity foundation would also like to provide indirect help to various causes by donating funds to their specialised charities. As a new foundation, we know promoting change in all parts of the world will be hard and out of reach. By giving funds to specialised charities, we know that the donations we recieve will be channeled through to provide aid of which both our ministers and ambassadors desire. At the begining of each year, all of our registered ministers and ambassadors will recieve an email outlining a list of causes they would be interested in chosing for the foundation to fundraise and donate towards. After recieving all the votes, two of the most highly voted charities would be chosen. Throughout the year, the foundation would hold fundraising events in order to raise awareness about the causes it is raising funds for. As with our direct help channel, 100% of the donations we recieve will be donated towards the charities chosen. The versatility of our website and social-networking platform will allow all our members to try raise money for any charity-related activities e.g. marathons, walks and expeditions. Both our ministers and ambassadors, will be allocated their own profile once registered with the foundation. They could fundraise for their own cause, they could connect with another minister or ambassador that shares similar interests and fundraise with them or they could just donate to other causes various other members are appealing for. The social networking platform we hope to develop will not only allow our members to connect with each other but allow them to provide a greater awareness for causes of which they share similar interests. As you may appreciate, to create this channel will be fairly expensive and as a new foundation we currently do not hold sufficient funds for it. We are however looking at this along with our registeration to be a primary objective. The expected date of completion for this interface is September 2014. All registered ministers and ambassadors will automatically be changed over to the new system once developed !
