This World Entrepreneurs' Day, we're celebrating ambitious entrepreneurs like Kossiwa 🌍🎊

Kossiwa is a weaver from Togo who has built a business creating traditional fabrics known as pagne. Starting with limited resources, a Lendwithcare loan helped her invest in the materials she needed to grow her business. Now, she earns an income she is proud of and dreams of seeing her creations sold around the world.

Her story shows what's possible when entrepreneurs have the opportunity to grow, and when lenders choose to support their ambitions.

We couldn’t resist jumping on the ‘kinda chic' trend. We think low-income entrepreneurs around the world are doing amazing things, and it’s definitely kinda chic to help them grow their income through Lendwithcare loans.

Together, we helped Tilalo stock her market stall, Shabeer turn traditional craftsmanship into a thriving business, Zulma invest in farming land, and Caroline grow her enterprise through tailoring and fabric sales. Very chic entrepreneurs creating opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities! 💛

We love to see examples of talented small business owners using their skills to earn a living. It's even more rewarding meeting inspiring Lendwithcare loan recipients in person.

Nancy had the pleasure of meeting Trần Thị Giang when visiting borrowers in Vietnam earlier this year ❤️

Today is Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day!

When we talk about small businesses, we often focus on the entrepreneur. But behind many businesses are family members, friends, and communities helping to make things work.

Nayeli, a 24 year old tailor from Ecuador, learned her trade from her sister and now runs a small workshop from her home. With a loan, she was able to buy a sewing machine, expand her workspace, and purchase materials to grow her business.

What we love about Nayeli's story is the support network around her. She and her sisters all have young children, and by sharing childcare responsibilities, they're able to balance family life while continuing to work and earn an income.

It's a reminder that small businesses are often built not by one person alone, but by people supporting each other along the way. 🧡

If you're looking for a way to up your fitness and help a good cause this June, sign up to CARE International UK's newest challenge, Walk 100 Miles in June. 👟

By taking part, you're helping to raise money for women and girls facing crisis and conflict.

And to those of you who've already signed up and started, thank you and best of luck!

Who is ready for June 2026?!

Walk 100 Miles in June is now live! Walk, wheel or run 100 miles throughout June to raise money for women and girls facing crisis and conflict 👟

100 miles across 30 days in solidarity with women across the world who are leading change in their communities but, too often, each step they take is harder than it should be.

A girl might walk miles to school then miss lessons because she lacks period products. A woman may walk for hours to find food for her family, but still go without food for herself.

Whether you sign up as an individual or as a team of family and friends, join us this June to help change this 🧡https://socialsync.app/flw/rf-qq34pe345p8y

☕ Happy International Tea Day

For many people in Mubashir’s community, a cup of hot chai is part of the rhythm of daily life. At his tea stall, he serves traditional chai to hardworking customers, including labourers starting long physical shifts.

With a microloan, Mubashir invested in better quality ingredients and improved his stall. He’s growing his small business, one cup at a time 🧡

Have you ever heard of microfinance?

At Lendwithcare, you can support a small business owner with as little as £15. And because loans are repaid over time, many lenders choose to use their funding again and again, growing their impact along the way. You can of course add more funds though!

Scroll to learn more about how microfinance works and visit www.lendwithcare.org to explore the model for yourself 🔁
