Some months, a few entrepreneur profiles take a little longer to be fully funded.

While this is the nature of the platform, we always try to highlight those who have been waiting the longest. You can find them by sorting entrepreneurs by “oldest loan” in the filters.

As we approach the end of the month, we’ve noticed a number of loans that have been live since February. While these entrepreneurs will still receive their loans, our local partners are left covering the gap in the meantime.

If you can, please consider supporting one of these entrepreneurs. We’ve highlighted just a few below who have been waiting the longest and would really benefit from your support 👇

Happy International Day of Happiness!

For Akossiwa in Togo, happiness comes from being able to provide for her family through her own hard work.

As a mother of five, she started catering 17 years ago to create a more stable income. With the help of a small loan from Lendwithcare, she’s been able to buy ingredients in larger quantities, expand her menu, and grow her business.

She shared with us that her greatest pride, and what brings her the most happiness, is raising all five of her children through her dedication and hard work.

If you can, why not consider supporting an entrepreneur’s business and their happiness at www.lendwithcare.org 🧡

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today we’re reflecting on the progress made towards women’s economic opportunities through our work.

Back in 1991, CARE launched the first Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) in Niger, giving many women their first safe and trusted way to save money and access small loans. Since then, nearly 30 million people across 67 countries have saved and lent more than £8.5 billion through the model.

Through our partnership with Advans in Côte d’Ivoire, lenders are helping some of these VSLA members take the next step by accessing larger loans. In the past few months, more than £96,000 in loans were funded, supporting hundreds of women entrepreneurs!

Looking back at the progress women have achieved is important, and through Lendwithcare we see that progress every day in the women entrepreneurs working to support their families and communities.

But progress is not guaranteed. The movement must keep going to ensure these gains are protected and continue to grow!

For over 20 years, our partner Umutanguha in Rwanda has worked with low-income entrepreneurs, including refugees living in Mahama camp.

After a partner visit last year, our Microfinance Advisor Pilar Tejon wrote a thoughtful blog about what she saw and how it challenged her own assumptions.

She shares stories like Eugenie’s, a refugee entrepreneur who has built two small businesses within the camp despite being displaced for nearly a decade. It’s a powerful reminder that behind the label “refugee” are stories of resilience, determination and hope.

If you have a few minutes, we’d really encourage you to read Pilar’s reflections.

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow... but there’s still time to choose a meaningful gift! 🩷

If you’re looking for something a little different this year, a Lendwithcare gift voucher is a simple way to share the love. By putting life changing loan credit into the hands of someone you love, they can then choose which entrepreneur to support.

A loan doesn’t always mean starting from scratch for entrepreneurs. Sometimes, it’s about helping a strong business grow and expand by taking the next step.

Dotse has been running her sewing workshop for eight years in Togo. With her loan, she’ll be able to buy fabric in larger quantities, take on more work, and earn a steadier income for herself and her family.

She also has a longer-term hope to open more workshops and pass on her skills to young women in her community. This loan helps her take a meaningful step in that direction!

As we settle into 2026, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year we’ve just closed, because 2025 was truly remarkable for Lendwithcare!

Together, you helped raise over £1 million more in loan funding than the year before. That support has meant thousands of low income entrepreneurs have been able to grow their businesses and better support their families and communities.

Whether you lent regularly, gave to an appeal, took on a challenge, or introduced someone new to Lendwithcare, you played an integral part in what we collectively achieved. 🧡

You can find a full roundup of last year’s highlights in your inbox!

Sophie recently joined 30 other cyclists on our Vietnam to Cambodia ride, taking on heat, humidity and early starts to support CARE and Lendwithcare 🚲

Along the way, she met entrepreneurs funded through Lendwithcare and saw first hand how small loans can change lives. Together, the group raised an incredible £124,594 to help this work continue.

A big thank you to Compare the Market for supporting Sophie’s fundraising along the way 🧡

A warm welcome to everyone who joined Lendwithcare over the festive period. It’s lovely to have you with us!

And to those who introduced Lendwithcare to a friend, family member, or colleague, thank you. Every new lender helps us reach more hardworking entrepreneurs around the world.

We’re looking forward to the year ahead and everything we can achieve together.

As the year draws to a close, we wanted to share a special message from Muhammad Shakeel, a Pakistani entrepreneur who runs a small hydraulic jack business.

Looking back on the year, Muhammad Shakeel shared: "My greatest achievement this year is enrolling my daughter who is in 9th grade in a very good school for her studies."

Stories like his remind us how a small loan can support much more than a business. It can help families plan for the future.

None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for being a big part of it!

Every year, we love sharing end of year messages from the entrepreneurs you’ve supported. This time, we’ve done something a little different!

We asked an entrepreneur from the Philippines, Ecuador and Zambia to answer five questions about their businesses, their day to day life, and how they celebrate festivities, to give a unique insight into life in different parts of the world.

📹 Keep an eye on your inbox today to watch this special video and hear directly from them!
