📢 Call for papers for our 2026 conference!

Title: ‘All Mapped Out: Maps, Plans and Charts in the Archives’. The conference will take place on Tuesday 24th November 2026 in London.

The submission deadline for abstracts is 5pm on Wednesday 1st July 2026.

This year the British Records Association (BRA) annual conference will be held on the topic of records and archives which take the form of maps or geographical plans and charts.

Entries to our 2026 Janette Harley Prize are open! 🤩
The prize of £500, awarded in memory of archivist Janette Harley, intends to generate interest in, and raise awareness of, research and achievements in the world of archives.
It is open to applications from archivists, conservators, owners of archives, and researchers, including academic researchers, local historians and genealogists. The judges are particularly keen to receive more entries from conservators and local historians.
