Campaign for Better Transport

🚍 One in seven people in England are at risk of being left behind because they don't have access to a decent bus service.

That means millions of people face barriers getting to work, education, healthcare and other everyday destinations because local bus services are too infrequent or simply aren't available.

Ahead of the Budget, we're calling on the Government to invest an extra £300 million a year in local buses. This funding could help ensure every community has access to a reliable bus service, reconnecting people with opportunities and helping local economies thrive.

Buses are the most-used form of public transport and one of the quickest, most cost-effective ways to improve everyday journeys. Investing in better buses means less isolation, more opportunity and stronger communities.

We are so honoured that our 'Better Bus Stops' campaign won 'Campaign of the Year' at the National Transport Awards last night!

This campaign was inspired by one of our supporters, who took it upon himself to print and laminate timetables for his local bus stop because he knew how important they were to his fellow bus users. From this beginning, it has helped bring about national Government guidance and real improvements to bus stops around the country.

We know there is much still to do, with many bus stops still run-down, inaccessible and lacking useful information. We will keep campaigning to make bus stops better - thank you to the brilliant supporters who make this work possible.
