Music is for everyone.

We often talk about how much music can bring to our lives—joy, connection, confidence, creativity, community. šŸŽ¶

But not everyone gets the chance to experience those things.

For some people, the cost of an instrument or lessons can be a barrier. For others, opportunities to make music simply aren't accessible or available.

That's why Music for All is working to increase access to music making across the UK: helping people overcome the barriers that might otherwise stop them from picking up an instrument, joining in, or discovering a lifelong love of music.

Could you join us to give someone that chance with a donation?
Every penny helps Music for All reach more people and create more opportunities to make music.

šŸŽµ Donate today and help us make music accessible to more people.

Music for All supports Caxton Youth Club šŸŽ¶

Support from Music for All has allowed Caxton Youth Club to grow their music programme for learning disabled and autistic young people.

Music gives young people a space to express themselves, build confidence, make friends and discover new skills. With this support, at least 64 young people will have more opportunities to make music, from rapping and beat-making to songwriting, playing in a band and performing on stage.

For the people attending Caxton Youth Club, access to inclusive music-making opportunities can be hard to find. This funding helped break down those barriers and create a space where everyone can find their voice.

We can’t wait to see and hear what these young people continue to create! šŸŽ¤šŸŽøšŸ„

Thank you so much to Dom Devivo’s family and friends for raising an incredible Ā£1000.58 for Music for All!

Dom was an avid musician and in July Dom’s family and friends organised a fundraising gig in his memory headlined by The Undecided, accompanied by his lifelong friends, Enzo and Ross. We are deeply grateful that they chose to support Music for All as part of this beautiful tribute to his life and passion for music.

Thanks to amazing fundraisers such as this, we are able to support access to the life‑changing power of music-making.

šŸŽ¶ 110+ music sessions delivered
šŸ’™ 341+ people living with dementia reached
šŸ¤ 100 carers supported

Thanks to the Power of Music Fund in partnership with Academy for Social Prescribing, we were able to improve the lives of hundreds of individuals living with dementia, their carers and families in 2025-6.

From dementia choirs and singing groups to music therapy, percussion, movement and intergenerational projects—the sessions created the opportunity for the participants to connect, build confidence and enjoy themselves.

Additionally, the project facilitators noticed a change in the participants during the sessions: They saw an improvement in wellbeing, communication, mood and reduced social isolation. Participating carers said they valued the positive experiences they shared with the people they support.

Many organisations involved were able to reach communities facing barriers to dementia support and demonstrated the importance of culturally relevant activities, trusted local partnerships and accessible provision.

Our key takeaway? Successful projects all had these things in common: they listened to participant feedback, adapted activities to individual needs, and created welcoming, inclusive spaces.

Thank you to every organisation, facilitator, volunteer and participant who made this work possible. Together, we're evidencing the incredible role music can play in supporting people living with dementia and strengthening their communities. šŸ’œ

In the past years, the demand for our support has increased dramatically. That’s why we’ve set up our 30th birthday appeal: throughout the year, we are encouraging our supporters to help us raise vital funds that will allow us to share the joys and incredible benefits of music-making with more people.

To mark this milestone birthday, we’ve set out to raise Ā£3000 by May 2027. Whether you would like to donate or take on a ā€˜30 Challenge’, please know that every donation and all efforts help us reach more people who would otherwise miss out on the life‑changing power of music-making.

We are looking for new trustees!

Music for All is looking to co-opt new trustees who are passionate about our mission and want to help shape the future of our charity.

As Music for All celebrates its 30th birthday, we are entering an exciting and pivotal new chapter. Five years ago, we became an independent charity and, since then, have grown our impact fourfold. Now, with an ambitious 2030 Vision, we are determined to accelerate our impact in response to growing need and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the life-changing benefits of music making.

We supported nearly 21,000 people across the UK in FY24/25, an increase of almost 75% on the previous year. We awarded nearly £225,000 in grants, distributed almost £15,000 worth of donated instruments, and partnered on initiatives that helped nearly 7,000 people living with dementia experience the life-changing benefits of making music.

As our impact continues to grow, we're looking for trustees who can help us reach even more people who currently face barriers in accessing music making opportunities.

We're particularly seeking individuals with skills and experience in:
Brand and marketing
Corporate partnerships and fundraising
Music education

This is an exciting opportunity to help guide a charity that is expanding its reach, influencing change across the music, education and health sectors, and working to ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience the proven benefits of making music.

We actively welcome applications from all backgrounds, identities and lived experiences including those from underrepresented and marginalised communities in order to fully represent the diverse communities we serve.
