It was an absolute pleasure and delight to celebrate social care in West Sussex together. And of course, no small mention goes to our marvellous host for the evening, Dawn Gracie. 📢📢📢Just two more days until the West Sussex Care Accolades 2026 are upon us and we can't wait to see the winners picking up their well-deserved awards!

Lovely to see Rosemary Pavoni, our Chair, out and about raising awareness with her local MP about the importance and value of early intervention after a dementia diagnosis. 💙💙

Thank you John (John Milne for Horsham), for your time on Friday. Rosemary Pavoni, our chair, and I spent a good hour with John talking through how we can raise awareness about the importance and value of early intervention after a dementia diagnosis. For people living with dementia, staying active and engaged is critical, it keeps people living longer at home and independent as long as possible. It is also immensely important for carers to put in place the structures for support early in order to establish routine and familiarity.

📣USEFUL INFORMATION! 💫
It's Dementia Action Week this week and in addition to a reminder about signing up to our free Sector Specific Networking Groups which are coming up this week (one which, in particular relates to dementia), we wanted to share with you details of this Storytelling Toolkit.
It's a really beneficial pack for for activity coordinators as it is a free activity for care homes and other environments which support people living with dementia.
