This is Brenda. The next stage of supporting this family is being planned - she is sponsored and has a goats initiative, which is set to be boosted. Dad happy about the prospects, as you can see with his smile. Watch this space! 👍🏾👍🏻

…and here’s Room 2 in the Ugandan Guest House. Between them, they can house two friends no troubles or one set of partners (one bed is slightly larger 6’ x 4’) plus a friend (normal single). Who’d you like to go with? 🧐

Room 1 in the Guesthouse is ready for visitors in Uganda! Who’s thinking of visiting then?

Uganda Hub 2 Project Update:
This photo shows part of our previously stocked red sorghum, which is being processed into black sorghum to increase its market value.
The red sorghum was purchased at UGX 1,700 per kilogram, while black sorghum is currently selling at UGX 3,000 per kilogram.
These hub projects are for the sponsored children whose parents don’t have business initiatives due to various reasons (orphaned, parent deserted them leaving them with gran, unreliable parent, unsettled home strife etc). The idea is they will help the children with their education once beyond what normal sponsorship is able to or was set to cater for).

A new chapter for both of these two. Anthelem has been a regular Top 4 student in our sponsored crop of over 50. Here’s what our in-country coordinator or he said:
“And our superstar Anthelem has really grown! His smile says it all.

Below are his remarks about the new school:
the school is very good, Newcomers are not bullied, the students are well fed and neatly dressed, and the teachers are very loving and caring, haven't heard any case related to theft.”

Grandmother Juliet can now access water, instead of the long walk to fetch water. This is going to be such a godsend as time ticks on… once again, well done and thanks to fund raiser who did the London marathon a year ago to fund raise for this 🙏🏼👏🏼👍🏾

Johnmary was a cattle herder a couple of years ago. Yes, you read that right. He’s a child you can see from the photo. Not in school. He has been since Tracy visited; it’s one of those things that comes up on a trip - it’s not that we look or plan for these things; it’s a natural way about a trip. Something rare; something soulful.

He’s still enthusiastic; still grateful; still loving school.

A trip of a lifetime. Not for Tracy. For Johnmary. Wow.

A visit to Uganda can be many things. Firstly, it’s got a lot to offer for normal tourism. Our project there is ready to host folks in the guesthouse - our in-country coordinator would be delighted to have you. For those who sponsor a child, it’s so much more than just a visit to a country or a special project. It’s engaging with people who’ve become your friends. The photo collage says it all. A huge shout out to Tracy who leads by example and with her heart and always with a smile.
