💚 Islamic Relief UK is hosting Muslim Climate Action Week this July, linking faith values with meaningful action, from grassroots organising to youth-led advocacy.
✨ Scottish Communities Climate Action Network has just launched their NOW Manifesto outlining community-led responses to the climate and nature emergency in Scotland.
💚 Protect Our Winters UK 's new Changemakers programme offers free climate education and advocacy initiative specifically designed for young adults (ages 18–29.
✨ Green Christian is hosting People's Emergency Briefing screenings across their network. National Emergency Briefing 👏
💚 Take a look at Carbon Copy's action guide 'From Footprint to Changeprint' to take collaborative action where you live.
✨ Last year through InterClimate Network, 10,000 young people added their voice to turn their concerns into action.

With more than 10,000 events and 1.6 million people taking part, communities are coming in the most creative and joyful ways 🫶

We're heading into the final weekend of already 😮

Until this Sunday, events, activities and conversations celebrating action for climate and nature are taking place in every corner of the UK. So far, we expect 1.6 million people to have taken part across more than 10,000 events 🎉

But one of the things that makes Great Big Green Week so special - more than half of those attending say they rarely or never come to climate or nature events. Great Big Green Week is reaching new people in new places because communities are finding fun and creative ways to come 💚

Craft and play days, music workshops, green roof building, town fêtes, snorkel safaris, film screenings, river dipping - there's something for everyone!

Puppets roaming city streets handing out dandelions. Snorkel safaris off the Cornish coast. Belfast City Hall lit up green. A church in Cardiff throwing open its doors for a plant swap and homemade cake. 🌿

We're at the midway point of Great Big Green Week - and communities across the UK have been coming Together for Good in the most wonderful ways.

By the end of the week, 1.6 million people are expected to have taken part across more than 10,000 events. More than half of those attending say they rarely or never come to climate or nature events. This is a week reaching more people than ever.

It's day 4 of and we've been speaking to event organisers and participants across the UK, asking them how it feels to take action with their local community as part of a national movement 🫶

Their words remind us of the powerful idea at the core of - when thousands of people take those small actions in towns, villages and cities across the UK, something extraordinary happens. Individual efforts join together to create a wave of collective action for climate and nature.

That's the magic of Great Big Green Week: one action, multiplied thousands of times, creates true hope and change 💚
