The dates for Trimley Station Regeneration Project's exhibition at Felixstowe Museum at at Landguard Fort have been extended!

The exhibition now runs until Wednesday 21st October.

The exhibition features the station's past in old photos, books and artifacts, and it explores its future and the effort to transform it into a space for community use.

Felixstowe Museum is open Wednesdays to Sundays, 11am - 5pm. Last entries at 4pm.

Museum entry fees apply giving you access to all exhibitions they house.

Get there by train! Head to Felixstowe station where you can hop on First Bus No. 77 (which stops across from Great Eastern Square) to Landguard Fort.

Pleased to see that the new small business centre at Redcar Central Station is now open, with first tenant Lark Bakery selling some lovely cakes. Do pop by & support them if you are in the area. We gave a grant to Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council to restore the building. More tenants coming soon.

Big changes are coming to Rowlands Castle Station! 🚂✨

The boards on the historic Grade II Listed Station Master’s House won't be there for much longer. Work has officially begun with Avon Construction Ltd—instructed by the Hampshire Community Rail Partnership—to restore this beautiful yet derelict building into a habitable, vibrant space.

We’re thrilled to support Making Space for Crafts Ltd and Faye Hughes as they bring new life to the building. To help keep it as true to its original form as possible, we’ve awarded a grant dedicated to restoring its heritage elements.

This is a fantastic, sustainable reuse of a redundant space that will bring huge benefits to the local community and beyond! 🎨🌿

It was good to meet TfW & Network Rail Wales Route today to discuss planned enhancements to Wrexham General. The station needs better facilities as the city grows, & the site’s heritage is part of that, helping to welcome people and be a catalyst for wider economic growth. The original station was built by the Shrewsbury & Chester Railway in Jacobean style, but replaced by the GWR in 1912 with one in ‘French pavilion’ style using stone from the original. We gave a grant of £100k in 97/98 to support its restoration. GWR drain covers still remain.
