- We are unable to give individuals medical advice as every person’s health depends on a number of individual factors, the best person to speak to is your GP or hospital team. We do produce a free information booklet which has been medically fact checked and reviewed by people affected by prostate cancer. - Any posts containing information on prostate cancer research and treatments MUST be backed up by evidence from a trusted source, for example a peer-reviewed research paper or a reputable news organisation. We want to minimise the spread of misinformation which can cause distress and harm.
- Please do not name or share a photo of an individual unless you have consent to do so. Do NOT post the following:
- Offensive, violent, hateful or discriminatory content
- Violations of copyright or intellectual rights
- Spam, link baiting or files containing viruses
- Direct marketing/selling
- Unrelated content
- Misleading content
- Content encouraging illegal activities

This page is monitored by dedicated staff members but unfortunately, we are unable to monitor this page 24/7. Please report anything you feel is inappropriate and we will do our best to respond to rule-breaking ASAP. We only fund research as we believe this is ultimately how we can make a difference. "Treating Prostate Cancer: Questions and Answers" is a medically fact checked and patient-reviewed information booklet provided free of charge to individuals, hospitals and GP Surgeries.

Last week to apply for our Early Career Fellowship in Prostate Cancer Research!

Our Early Career Fellowship has been created to support outstanding researchers at a pivotal stage in their careers. Designed as a bridge between postdoctoral research and independent leadership, the Fellowship provides the support needed to build a successful long-term research programme.

Successful Fellows will receive:
✅ Protected time to focus on research
✅ Salary support and research funding
✅ Opportunities for professional and leadership development
✅ Access to networks that help foster future collaborations

We're looking for ambitious researchers whose work has the potential to address some of the biggest challenges in prostate cancer, from earlier detection and better risk stratification to treatment optimisation and improving quality of life for patients.

"My experience of prostate cancer has been one of real highs and lows. Being told in 2018 that the disease had already spread to my bones was devastating, but my doctors reassured me that I could live well with prostate cancer rather than die from it. With an uncle who died from the disease, a cousin who is unwell with it, and a brother who is also living with it, I know the impact it can have on families. We need better ways to identify men at high risk and detect prostate cancer earlier, and that’s why research, through studies like Prostate Progress, is so important.”

Research starts with questions. This week, we brought together the people working to answer them and the people whose lives those answers could change.

Our Meet the Scientist event brought researchers, people affected by prostate cancer and supporters together to discuss the research we’re funding, share experiences and ask questions.

These conversations matter. They give people the opportunity to hear directly from scientists - and researchers the chance to listen to what matters most to people living with prostate cancer.

Thank you to our researchers, everyone who shared their personal experience and the supporters who make this work possible.

Together, we’re working towards a world where people are free from the impact of prostate cancer.

Early detection saves lives.

We're delighted to be partnering with Nuffield Health for BEYOND-PSA, to improve early detection of clinically significant prostate cancer.

Aiming to generate real-world evidence on the use of the Stockholm3 test within a UK clinical pathway, up to 10,000 men are expected to contribute data to the study, generating real-world evidence on the impact of integrating a sophisticated blood test for prostate cancer.

“I was diagnosed with aggressive, locally advanced prostate cancer at the age of 62. Eight months earlier, I’d visited my GP with fatigue and blood pressure issues and asked whether I should have a PSA test, but was reassured it wasn't necessary. He’d performed a DRE examination and assured me that I was fine. Looking back, I wish I’d pushed harder for further checks. My experience has shown me that research isn’t just about finding a cure. It’s about improving diagnosis, making treatment more effective, and encouraging more men to come forward earlier. By joining Prostate Progress, I hope I can play a small part in helping more men seek help earlier and improve the future of prostate cancer care.”
