This extraordinary film is a powerful testament to the asylum-seeking experience in the UK—an eye-opening journey brought to life through the lens of two incredible filmmakers whom we are privileged to call friends. ❤️

There is so much to learn, reflect on, and appreciate from this moving and important work.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the production, especially Counterpoints Arts and the Displacement Film Fund for supporting and championing this project. 👏🎥

🌿🎨 What an incredible transformation at the Nature Connection Centre! 🌼🦋🐦

Over two days of dedicated volunteering, our amazing team worked tirelessly to repaint the vegetable garden fence, refresh the tables and benches, and bring new life to two garden sheds with beautiful murals featuring flowers, birds, and butterflies. 🌸🌻🕊️

This vibrant homage to nature is the culmination of a series of creative workshops we have been running since April at the Wembley Creative Community Hub. Throughout the programme, participants developed their painting and decorative art skills, turning learning into a lasting contribution to the community. 🎨✨

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this vision a reality.
Almost 30 wonderful people among volunteers and team!!

Together, we have created a colourful, welcoming space that celebrates creativity, nature, and community spirit. 💚🌱

An evening of books, poetry, photography, and short films featuring:

It has been a pleasure working with so many talented, creative, and inspiring participants. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and the dedication you have shown throughout the course. 🌟👏

Join us for a community painting weekend at the Nature Connection Centre in Roundwood Park!

We're looking for volunteers and local community members to help paint the shed and refresh this important community space.

📅 Saturday 13 & Sunday 14 ⏰ 9:30am – 4:00pm 📍 Nature Connection Centre, behind The Lodge Café, Roundwood Park, NW10 3SH

This creative community action is part of the Human Rights Festival and the London Festival of Architecture, delivered in collaboration with Inkline Studio.

Whether you can join for an hour or the whole day, your support will help transform the space and bring people together through creativity, nature, and community action.

No painting experience is needed – just bring your enthusiasm and clothes you don't mind getting paint on!

🌍✨ Today we open the Human Rights Festival with the launch of our exhibition at Chipping Barnet Library.

At a time when human rights, dignity, equality, and justice continue to face challenges around the world, this festival creates a space for communities to come together, listen, learn, and take action. 🤝

Through art, storytelling, dialogue, film, performance, and community events, we celebrate the voices that are too often unheard and shine a light on the experiences of people seeking safety, belonging, and opportunity. 🎨🎭📚

This year's programme is richer than ever, bringing together artists, activists, human rights defenders, community organisations, and local residents to explore what human rights mean in our everyday lives and why they matter to us all. ✊🏽❤️

📅 All events are FREE and open to everyone.

Join us to stand in solidarity with those whose rights are under threat, celebrate the power of creativity as a force for change, and help build a more inclusive, compassionate, and just society. 🌱🕊️
