The London Legal Walk is a charity event that we at the London Legal Support Trust (LLST) organise that raises much needed funds for charities that provide free legal advice to those in desperate need who cannot afford it such as Law Centres and CABx. These advice agencies do a crucial job in preventing homelessness, improving the living conditions of children in extreme poverty and trying to combat discrimination and injustice. The walk provides a great opportunity for lawyers and friends, from all practice areas, and all levels of seniority, to come together and show support for these agencies whilst taking part in for a very enjoyable event, with a serious message. The walk is led from the very top with the Lord Chief Justice, Master of the Rolls, Attorney General, Solicitor General, DPP, judges from the Supreme Court, Appeal Court and High Court and a range of partners and head of chambers getting involved. Getting involved is easy – all you need to do is have one individual willing to be the “team organiser” and so be our contact point and then simply complete our short registration form on the website. There is no minimum number of people in a team and walkers can be added until a few days before. We hope to hear from you soon, or if you are already in a registered team, to see you at the walk!
