Tomorrow, 12th June at 12:30pm, we are hosting an online 'Care Needs' session with our Advocacy and Helpline Manager, Jessica Sugden. This session is designed to direct

individuals living with ataxia and their carers towards extra support they may need to manage daily life and maintain their independence.

Connecting with people who are in the same boat makes all the difference. Our Carers Support Group meeting is taking place today at 2pm! Come along for a friendly chat and shared support in a safe space, because, as our wonderful group leader Jane reminds us, "the most important thing about being a carer is a sense of humour and trying to keep positive."

Our group is the perfect place to do exactly that. It’s a welcoming space where you can share a much-needed laugh, find the mutual encouragement to stay positive, and lift each other up alongside people who truly get it.

A huge thank you to Geraint for taking on not one, but two incredible challenges in support of Ataxia UK!

After completing the Snowdon Half Marathon, they went on to conquer the Edinburgh Marathon, demonstrating remarkable determination, resilience and commitment to raising awareness and funds for people affected by ataxia. Thus far, Geraint has completed 4 of his 8 challenges in 2026.

We are so grateful for your support and dedication. Every mile you ran helps us continue funding vital research and providing support to the ataxia community.

Congratulations on two more fantastic achievements, and thank you for making a difference! 💙
