120 MPs have signed a motion calling for the EHRC code to be rejected.

The code does not make law; it simply explains how to follow the law. Service providers need clarity, not more misinformation.

Could you spare a few minutes to email your MP?

Write to express your disagreement with MPs who have signed a motion calling for the code to be rejected, and to support those who have not signed.

Our judicial review against abusive police searching policies covered in The Telegraph.

“S*x Matters argues that the guidance also contravenes PACE 1984, which says a strip search can only be carried out by someone of the same s*x as the detained person.”

Female police officers should never be expected to search men who say they are women.

We’re in court on 16th June, standing up for officers whose forces think unlawful searches can be allowed “by consent”.

Will you support our legal challenge?

S*x Matters is seeking a judicial review of guidance on searching from the National Police Chiefs’ Council and British Transport Police.

🎊 It’s five years since Maya Forstater's tribunal win established that gender-critical beliefs are worthy of respect in a democratic society.

It’s the most important free-speech win of the past decade. It’s been cited in many legal cases, and protected many people from unlawful belief discrimination.

But there is still much more to do.

Will you join us in challenging the culture of fear, so people can speak up about the reality of the two s*xes in work and everywhere else?

The City of London Corporation has decided to continue with its “trans inclusive” approach to admissions to the men’s and women’s ponds on Hampstead Heath.

There is no reason to think that professing a gender identity makes a person less likely to fit the offending patterns usual for their s*x.

In fact, prison data suggests that trans-identifying males may even be more likely to commit s*x offences than other men.

The exception that allows single-s*x services that keep women safe from male violence must allow no exceptions.

Read our latest blog post on how housing men in women’s prisons is cruel and unlawful ⬇️

In 2021, in the case of FDJ v Secretary of State for Justice, a female prisoner challenged the Ministry of Justice’s policy of housing some men who

“If you call something a women’s thing, or a girls thing, or a female thing, there’s only one interpretation.”

Watch Fiona McAnena and Maya Forstater discuss the importance of women-only sport and our new report, Getting back on track, in our latest podcast: https://youtu.be/CZCa7c4_u04

Our new report, Getting back on track, explains how the Equality Act provides the legal framework for protecting and providing for women and girls in sport.

We explain the law on sport in layperson’s terms, and call on government ministers, sports councils and sports national governing bodies to protect the female category for women and girls.

“The national governing bodies are centring the trans person – their feelings, their needs and their desire for affirmation, at the expense of everyone female.”

Organisations, sports leaders and public bodies do not need new legal tools to protect women’s sport. They just need to use the legal tools that already exist.

Protecting, celebrating and promoting women and girls in sport isn’t just what the law allows. It’s also the right and fair thing to do.

“Every single women’s world record in athletics has been beaten by men.”

Watch Fiona McAnena and Maya Forstater discuss the importance of women-only sport and our new report, Getting back on track, in our latest podcast: https://youtu.be/CZCa7c4_u04

We explain the law on sport in layperson’s terms, and call on government ministers, sports councils and sports national governing bodies to protect the female category for women and girls.

Yesterday, we launched the report in the House of Lords. As Maya said in her speech, for the past 15 years legal misunderstandings have removed the focus, opportunity and resources women and girls need to thrive in sport.

Organisations, sports leaders and public bodies do not need new legal tools to protect women’s sport. They just need to use the legal tools that already exist.

Protecting, celebrating and promoting women and girls in sport isn’t just what the law allows. It’s also the right and fair thing to do.

“City of London Corporation members voted to unlawfully discriminate against and harass women using the Ladies’ Pond.

Female users don’t expect to encounter male people in bikinis or naked in the showers at the ladies’ pond, but that is what the City of London Corporation has endorsed.”

Fiona McAnena quoted in The Times and The Sunday Times on City of London members voting to keep the Ladies’ Pond mixed-s*x.

The City of London has ruled that biological men who identify as women will continue to have access to the ladies’ pond
