3 OCTOBER 2019 — A DAY THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Today, The Tafida Raqeeb Foundation remembers a very significant day in Tafida’s journey.

On 3 October 2019, the High Court handed down its judgment allowing Tafida to travel to Italy for further treatment and rehabilitation.

The journey that followed was made possible not only by Tafida’s family, but by the extraordinary support, prayers and kindness of people from across the world.

From those who stood beside the family during the legal battle, to the medical professionals, advocates, organisations, friends, supporters and thousands of people who raised their voices for Tafida — we thank you.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who, in their own way, helped open a door to hope for Tafida.

Seven years later, Tafida’s journey continues.

And so does ours.

Her story has become the inspiration behind the work of The Tafida Raqeeb Foundation — standing alongside families, supporting parents, raising awareness and giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves.

To everyone, everywhere, who has supported Tafida over the years:
