Mitzvah Day Coordinator Spotlight - Rachel Ucko 👏🏼💚

Rachel is the Head of Jewish Living and Community at and is one of our fantastic Mitzvah Day Coordinators.

When asked about Mitzvah Day, Rachel said:
“…Mitzvah Day plays an important part of the calendar. It shows the wider community that having a learning disability shouldn’t be a barrier to giving back to others. Rather than being at the receiving end of other people’s Mitzvot, they can also help others and make a meaningful contribution.”

Mitzvah Day celebrates Win with Volunteer Team of the Year Award🏆👏🏼💚

We’re elated to have been one of the few organisations to be recognised and to be honoured with a Volunteer Team of the Year Award at the awards held on Sunday!

This award is for ALL our coordinators and volunteers who give their time not only on Mitzvah Day but throughout the year to give back through social action.

As the candles shine brighter each night, we’re reminded of the power of small acts to create big change and light.

This season, we’re celebrating not only the light of Chanukah, but the light our volunteers bring into their communities every day. As the world can seem heavy and a dark place, we’re reminded that the smallest light, the smallest act of kindness can have the greatest impact!
