✨BUILDING HOPE 2026 ✨

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us last night for our Building Hope event in Crumlin Road Gaol.

In a week of so much heartbreak, fear and uncertainty, it was very special to bring together Habitat volunteers, partners, staff and supporters to celebrate the impact that Habitat Ireland has locally and around the world.

We also got to present the Habitat awards which recognise everything that volunteers bring to our mission and commissioned the teams who are travelling to support our work in India, Romania & Cambodia, as well as the newest ReStore which will open in Athlone later this year.

Thank you to the staff at Crumlin Road Gaol for having us, and to the wonderful Belfast Ukulele Jam for opening the event with their fabulous performance. Thank you to Ashley Parks for being our MC for the evening and to our Global Education Programme Manager, Emma Lutton, for speaking about her Habitat journey and the importance of GCE.

Updates from Kenya 🇰🇪

Great to see some photos of the team from Bandon Grammar School, supporting our partner programme in Laikipia County, Kenya.

In Kenya, there is a housing deficit of over 2 million, with 6.4 million people from Kenya’s urban population living in informal settlements. Habitat for Humanity have worked in Kenya since 1982, building homes, advocating for policy change and working to improve access to adequate water and sanitation facilities.

We need volunteers throughout w/c Monday 15th June to help us get the store ready for opening!

No skills needed, just a willingness to work as directed by the Habitat Supervisors. Tasks will include painting walls, building shelving, sorting donations, merchandising stock and much more!
