Today our Navigators spent the morning harvesting delicious fresh produce for the Courtyard Cafe at in Lisburn and in Newtownards 🥗🫜🥬🍓🌼

Our food is grown agroecologically here at , meaning we use nature-friendly growing practices that nourish both people and the planet 🌍

We harvested juicy strawberries, lettuce, rocket, chives, rhubarb and Swiss chard, as well as fresh herbs including oregano, thyme and fennel. We also included some gorgeous edible flowers like calendula, borage and sweet Williams to add a special touch to our dishes.

Earth Day magic ✨

As we gathered together to create a nature mandala on the lawn, something unexpected arrived in the background… two tonnes of rich, living compost from 🌱🪱🍂

It felt strangely perfect - a reminder that when community comes together to celebrate the earth, nourishment follows 🌍

Huge thanks to New Leaf Compost for supporting our growing space with this incredible gift 🥰 We are so excited to see this beautiful compost turn into food, flowers, habitat, and future abundance for the whole community 💚

From garden to glass 🌿🥕🍊

Today our horticulture & wellbeing group at made healthy garden juices using fresh produce grown right here in our garden.

For some of the group, this was the very first time trying vegetables like kale, pak choi, celery, lettuce and cucumber, as well as fresh herbs and they absolutely loved it 💚

We added apples and oranges for natural sweetness, created two delicious recipes, and decorated our mocktails with beautiful edible flowers 🌸

Not a single drop was left in the glasses 🥤✨

Moments like this show how growing, preparing and sharing food together can build confidence, encourage healthier choices, and bring so much joy.

Safe to say “Juicy Tuesdays” as they will now be known (thanks Ciara) will definitely become a regular activity here with our Navigators 🌱

Today our Navigators prepared a mini feast of edible art to snack on at break time using produce from our garden here at 🥗🎨

This exhibition explores the inclusion of people with learning disability rough photography.

It shares the lives and perspectives of people with learning disabilities as they move through the place they live and work, capturing how they feel about inclusion in public spaces, and in moments of connection and independence.

The exhibition is free to attend and open to the public.
