I have to say it’s been a crazy few weeks with intakes of cats and kittens plus a few stray bunnies added into the mix.
Vida contacted me on Sunday about needing help with a Mummy cat and 5 kittens in Dungannon.
She had tried other rescues but as we all know everyone is full to bursting. I of course went into meltdown trying to think how I could take another set of kittens along with a mummy but I sat and had a think. I did a huge rearrange and made space for another two xxl cages joined together for the wee family in the house.
We spent 7 hours on Sunday and only managed to get these two wee dotes. Aw they cried sore without mummy but have settled really well now and are starting to play.
Out again overnight on Monday/Tuesday morning Incase mummy was bringing them out overnight but by 7 am, no sign of the other kittens but mummy is still around so they are there somewhere. The two of us were absolutely knackered and we both have little guys at home who needed to get sorted out.
Came home and we are heading there again tomorrow so really hope we are successful. It’s hard when I have so many at home waiting on me to spend hours away at a time so fingers crossed we get the rest of them. Really want to get mummy spayed because there are male cats around and they do seem to be seeking her out so once caught a spay straight away just to make sure.
If you have got to the end of this thank you. We are really really short on bowls now with so many having to be fed separately. If anyone has pet bowls lying around they don’t need do let me know.
Having another coffee here and then get the house and cages done before heading out to the bunny room for a complete gut out. Having to lift the carpet because it’s stinking with too many p*e p*es on it. Won’t be putting carpet back down again because they are wee stinkers so back to the all bed on the floor instead. It’s more costly but will be cleaner for them, well for me. I don’t think they really care to be honest 😂
Thank you 🙏
