💜 WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY! 💜

We are delighted to share the results of an independent assessment of Lisburn Downtown Centre's social impact for 2025/26.

📊 £359,105.69 in social value created.

💜 £4 of social and economic value for every £1 invested.

🤝 Around 75 people benefit from our support every week.

Since 1988, Downtown has provided a welcoming space for adults experiencing loneliness, social isolation, learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

But behind every figure is a person. A friendship made, confidence gained, a new experience enjoyed or someone who feels less alone.

These results reflect the difference our members, staff, volunteers and supporters make together.

💚🎶 Celebrating our Downtown Community Choir! 🎶💚

A huge shout-out to our wonderful Downtown Community Choir, who helped us mark World Mental Health Day with a special performance in Lisburn Square! 🌟

We are so proud of every member who took part and shared their voices, confidence and joy with the community. ❤️

Our choir is about more than music. It’s about friendship, confidence, connection and making sure everyone has a place to belong. 🫶

We meet every Thursday at 10:30am at First Lisburn Presbyterian Church. You don’t need to be an experienced singer — just come along, have a sing and enjoy being part of a welcoming, inclusive community! 🎵

💚 World Mental Health Day at Lisburn Downtown Centre 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday in Lisburn Square to mark World Mental Health Day! 💚

It was fantastic to bring together so many wonderful local organisations, services and members of our community to raise awareness of mental health and highlight the support available locally.

A special thank you to all the organisations who took the time to come along, share their knowledge and offer advice, information and support. We’re also incredibly grateful to our volunteers and everyone who helped make the event possible. 🫶

💚 Remember, you are not alone. Whether you’re struggling with your mental health, feeling isolated, or simply looking for someone to talk to, support is available.

At Lisburn Downtown Centre, we believe in the importance of connection, community and creating a safe, welcoming space where everyone feels valued and supported.
