On Thursday 28th May 2026, New Horizons Credit Union celebrated their 25th Anniversary at the Tea Rooms at Hilden Mill. Chairman of New Horizons, Colin Halliday opened the event and welcomed our special guests, Deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly, MLA, Gladys Copeland MBE and one of the founding members, Bobby Loyal. The Trust Director of Resurgam Trust, Adrian Bird gave an overview of the journey traveled by New Horizons and said: “it is an absolute privilege to be here tonight with members, family and friends to celebrate 25 wonderful years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Board, Management Committee and Volunteers who run New Horizons Credit Union and provide a very valuable service to our community. Without your contribution it would not be such a huge success.”
