Jacob joined us through our Training for Work programme, delivered in partnership with All in Glasgow and sponsored by Glasgow City Council.
After successfully completing his Health & Safety qualification and gaining his CSCS card, Jacob was ready to progress to the practical stage of the programme.
Jacob had a clear goal from the beginning he wanted to become a scaffolder. To support him in achieving this ambition, we arranged a six week work experience placement with MGS Scaffolding.
The first couple of weeks were challenging as Jacob adjusted to the demands of working in the industry, but he remained determined and continued to give his all. As the placement progressed, Jacob's confidence, skills and attitude really shone through, and by the end of the six weeks, he had completely smashed it!
Jacob impressed everyone with his progress and commitment and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of his placement. We are delighted to share that, following his successful work experience placement, Jacob has now been offered a full time position with MGS Scaffolding!
