It was a busy week last week for our Face to Faith Schools Engagement Programme, generously sponsored by Religions for Peace UK. Our speakers visited Lasswade High School in Midlothian, as well as Pitcairn Primary outside Perth. We had Muslim, Jewish, Quaker, Bahai, Druid and Christian speakers sharing about their own faith journeys, as well as how they interact with them on a daily basis.

Want to join our speaker team? Our final training of the year is coming up on Tuesday, October 13, 6-8 pm, online, email [email protected] to attend.

Weโ€™re also accepting bookings for visits to schools across the country starting in January 2027. Visits are free of charge, and weโ€™re especially keen to hear from schools outside the Central Belt.

Stay tuned for even more school visits coming soon.

Women of Faith and Community, based in Glasgow held their monthly meetup today with a special and heartwarming visit to The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Maryhill Road. We were warmly welcomed and had the privilege of hearing Christine and Katie share a wonderful and inspiring overview of Catholic Social Teaching (CST) in action. We also learned about the compassionate work of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society and Together We Make Maryhill, both wonderful examples of faith being lived out through service, kindness and care for others. We then enjoyed a short visit to the beautiful chapel.

What made the gathering particularly meaningful was recognising how many values we share across our different faith traditions โ€” compassion, love, dignity, justice, generosity, service and a deep commitment to supporting those in need.
