“Remembrance is every day”

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Scotland, Stand Proud 🇬🇧

From Highlands strong to cities bright,
You carry dreams into the fight.
A nation proud, both brave and true,
The Tartan Army stands with you.

With heart and passion, give your all,
Rise together, never fall.
For every cheer and every roar,
Scotland marches evermore.

Play with pride upon this stage,
Write your name on football’s page.
The nation’s hope, the world will see,
Scotland’s strength and history.

So wear that badge with courage bold,
Chase the dream we all behold.
From every town, one voice, one theme…
Good luck Scotland — live the dream.

⚽ Come on Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Today we think of Gary’s family, friends and everyone who served and knew Gary, he was an absolute gentleman.

Gary was respected by all who knew him and he truly believed in the educational and community work of Ancre Somme Association Scotland Charity.

ARMED FORCES CELEBRATIONS - SHOW YOUR SUPPORT 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

As we approach Armed Forces Celebrations, we pause as a nation to honour the extraordinary men and women who have served, and those who continue to serve, within our Armed Forces.

Today, we recognise their unwavering courage, sacrifice, dedication, and professionalism — individuals who stand on the front line of duty, often facing immense challenges and personal sacrifice in order to defend our nation, protect our freedoms, and safeguard future generations.

Behind every uniform is a commitment to something greater than self: service, duty, loyalty, and the willingness to answer the call when the country needs them most. That commitment deserves not only our gratitude, but our enduring respect, support, and recognition.

This is not about politics. It is about standing together in appreciation of those who dedicate their lives to protecting others. It is about ensuring our Armed Forces have the support, resources, and respect they deserve to carry out their duties safely and effectively.

As Armed Forces Day approaches, let us unite across the United Kingdom and send one clear message to every serving member, veteran, and fallen hero:

Your service matters. Your sacrifice is remembered. Your nation is grateful.

We Will Remember Them. 🇬🇧
