Do you know about the special connection between The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and the Lyceum Theatre, where the production will begin previews next week?

The Lyceum is located on Grindlay Street in Edinburgh, which was also the childhood home of Miss Christina Kay, one of Muriel Spark’s teachers at James Gillespie’s High School and an inspiration for the character of Jean Brodie. The Lyceum was the first theatre Spark visited as a child, in 1923 to watch music hall performer Florrie Forde.
