🌍🌱 Climate change is a dual challenge for power grids: we need more renewables to achieve net-zero emissions (mitigation) and stronger grids to withstand extreme weather (adaptation). 🌩️

In an upcoming presentation, DR Laiz Souto will cover three key steps to future-proof power grids:
1️⃣ Identifying risk zones for different severe weather types
2️⃣ Evaluating risks across locations and time
3️⃣ Mitigating these risks with low-carbon tech across scales

Join us as she shares insights on UK-specific risks and strategies from her research with the EPSRC Supergen Energy Networks Hub. 🌐💡
