The moment you’ve all been waiting for… the people brave enough to take responsibility for the scorebook and the selection headaches. 😂

We’re thrilled to announce the Men’s Grade captains and vice captains for the season!

🔥 2nd Grade

👑 Captain — Jhet Moore

Congratulations to all four! 👏

Taking on a leadership role at the club is about more than just tossing a coin on Saturday/Sunday — it’s about setting the standard, backing your teammates, bringing the energy, and helping make Sandford Cricket Club a place everyone is proud to be part of. 💙

We’re incredibly lucky to have four quality people stepping up to lead these teams, and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the season.

Congratulations to our President, Jye White, on being named one of just six finalists in the Clubs Tasmania Sports Volunteer of the Year Award. 💙💛

From around 48 nominees across Tasmania, being selected as a finalist is an incredible achievement—and to top it off, Jye was also the youngest person nominated in the category.

The countless hours you give, the sacrifices you make behind the scenes and the passion you have for our club never go unnoticed. Your dedication has helped shape our club into the community it is today and we are all better because of the time, care and effort you invest.

Awards are wonderful recognition, but to everyone at Sandford Cricket Club, you’re already a winner. Thank you for everything you do—for our players, our families, our volunteers, and our club.

After spending a year playing 1st grade cricket and gaining valuable experience, this talented young all-rounder is returning to where it all began. A reliable performer with plenty of skill in the field, he's back at the club that played a big part in his development, rejoining his mates, family, and the community he proudly calls home.

We’re excited to welcome an experienced middle-order batter to the club — a player who brings a wealth of knowledge from a long and successful cricket journey. Having played a high number of matches, including 1st grade cricket, he adds valuable experience, composure, and leadership to the group.

A proven wicket-taker and big-game performer, he claimed 29 wickets last season to take his
career tally past 150. A multiple-time 1st grade team of the year selection and winner of several bowling awards, he's also played a key role in numerous grand final campaigns.
