When was the last time you made a difference in someone's life? It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help a family in our community. We are looking for just that person.
• Flexible shifts in the Moonah, TAS area and also flexible for Kingston and Orford.
• Responsibilities include providing domestic assistance, meal preparation, IT support including phone calls help, social support, other personal duties as required, gardening for a lady with physical disability and her young daughter.
Your day will include:
• Domestic Assistance: In house cleaning, laundry, tidying and organising, shopping and errands.
• Helping with meal preparation,
• Providing transport if and when required,
• Providing social support and access to lifestyle activities,
• Be ok with the household dog.
What we are looking for:
• You are caring and committed about supporting and assisting a family in our community so they can live independently at home and feel supported.
• You have a current Australian Driver’s License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
• We are requiring someone with patience who is able to multi task and work efficiently/fast paced and self-motivated. There will be a range of different tasks requiring attention in one shift.
• Am seeking someone who can take instruction on preferred method of completing tasks.
• You don’t sweat the small stuff; sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you. You know not to take this personally and to shake it off before your next shift.
• You're available to work on call,
• You're comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday challenges, knowing when to ask the client for help.
• You will require an ABN but this can be applied for easily.
Previous experience working as support/home helper/cleaner is preferable.
