The Parkside Foundation We provide a range of services for carers, people with disabilities and older people living in South These services are offered in a variety of settings.

The Parkside Foundation offers a range of services to meet the needs of people with disabilities and older members of the community and their carers and families. Our Community Access service provides a wide range of flexible leisure and recreational services for people with intellectual disabilities in the greater Hobart area. Our services for carers include specific respite for carers of younger

people, and for carers of older people with dementia and challenging behaviours and assistance for carers who work.

We’re excited to announce that Parkside is piloting a brand-new School Holiday Program for young people aged 9–12 years during the upcoming July school holidays!

This program is designed to provide engaging, fun and supportive activities for this age group — and we’d love to connect with families who may be interested.

Casual - Disability Support Worker

The Parkside Foundation provides a range of Disability and Aged Care Services in Southern Tasmania. We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team:

Do you have a strong desire to support people with disabilities within the community, promoting their individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals?

Are you respectful in your relationships with others, an excellent communicator with the ability to listen and build rapport?

Are you a team player who is reliable and able to show initiative?

As a successful applicant you will support participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Qualifications and/or experience in Disability or Community Services are favorable.

Australian drivers license essential.

Community/In-Home Support Worker – Aged Care

Are you a qualified carer with a passion for supporting the elderly to maintain optimal independence and remain living in their own home?

As a Support Worker with Parkside, you will also:

Be an active listener, open to cultural diversity, and have the ability to build rapport with elderly clients and their family;
Be open to undertaking a range of tasks to support elderly clients to optimize their health and wellbeing;
Seek learning and opportunities to increase your knowledge and skills;
Have completed a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
You will have, or be prepared to attain:

Current First Aid Certificate;
Current National Police Check;
Tasmanian Driver Licence;
Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance;
COVID-19 Vaccination and booster.

We are Hiring!!!

Want to join a dynamic team where you can utilise your creative and analytical skills?
The Parkside Foundation are looking for a new Program Officer!
You'll be responsible for researching, developing, implementing and reviewing program activities across a range of locations for Parkside's disability services.
You'll bring to the role, a strong knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and, have excellent communication and time management skills.
You'll also have a well-developed skill set in the use of office software, including Word and Excel.
Qualifications and/or experience in the human services sector is highly desirable.

Today we launched and celebrated a collaboration between The Parkside Foundation, Hobart City Council and Michael’s family to have his artwork immortalized as part of the Soapbox Billboards initiative.
