Huge congratulations to Tassie’s first Rally Grand Champion team, Tully and Wendy, who gained their title on Sunday in Launceston. This amazing feat requires scores of 95+ in 10 Masters trials. Testament to the dedication, knowledge and hard work of both Wendy and Tully. ESDC and, indeed, the entire Tassie Rally community is in awe of you.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up on Sunday 1 November at 10.30am.

We need new energy on our committee so consider nominating! You just need to email [email protected] to get a committee nomination form sent.

10am classes will finish at 10.30am and 11am classes will start at 11.15am. This will allow the meeting to run between classes.

Last weekend out club hosted a 2 day Rally and Obedience trial. We had every season possible over the 2 days, including hail!
Big thanks to our SA judge Brian Fielder, to our stewards and other helpers, you made both days run smoothly. And finally congratulations to all our entrants whether or not you left with a ribbon.

Judging for G5 will commence at 8.30am.
Grades 2 and 4 at 9.00am.
Grades 1 and 3 at 10.00am.

Good luck everyone!

Puppy, Basic Skills and Foundation classes will go ahead as normal.

Congratulations to all the teams who achieved qualifying passes at ESDC’s 2026 Working Pack Dog Trial this weekend! And a huge congratulations to the 6 dogs who earned their Working Novice Pack Dog titles 🥳

A very big thank you to judge Christine Stevens for making the trip down from QLD! We are very lucky.

We love to see a variety of different dogs at our WPD events. This sport is fun, enriching and fulfilling for dogs and their people too.

Hi competitors, I've made some updates to the catalogue. The Obedience was listed in the wrong order and this has now been corrected. Judging will commence at UD level at 8.30am.

Self check-in on the morning via Top Dog Events.

Don't forget the earlier judging start time of 8.30am on Sunday for the obedience.

Working Pack Dog is a 16km hike through the bush, with your dog wearing a pack with 15% of their body weight. Our group is made up of beginner and intermediate hikers; we hike as a group, taking frequent breaks, and have a fun time in nature with our dogs!

- Trial locations and meeting points will be emailed to entrants 1 week before trialling.
- Each trial consists a 16km hike through varied terrain. The chosen tracks are considered moderate, and include inclines. We hike at an average pace of 4km/h and we stop for 2 short breaks and a longer lunch break.
- We adhere to the ANKC rules for the conduct of sled sport events and exclusions outlined in the handbook will apply. Please make sure your dog is eligible to enter as per the handbook.
