Friends of Tranmere & Droughty Peninsula – Get Involved as part of your new year resolution!

As we fast approach a new year, Friends of Tranmere and Droughty Peninsula is seeking locals who are passionate about our community and interested in connecting with other great people to help volunteer and represent local interests.

Whether your interest lies in our local environment, community development, or simply bringing people together, we would love to hear from you. New year also means new ideas, so we welcome everyone!

It’s important that local voices help inform Council and other stakeholders on issues that matter to our area. Our group has been active for the past four years and has developed strong, constructive and respected working relationships.

If you’re interested, please reach out via PM, we’d be very happy to have a chat and discuss further.

Together, every bit helps.

Wishing everyone all the very best for 2026!

Have your say on two key Eastern Shore projects 👇

We are inviting community feedback on the designs for:

🦺 the South Arm Highway Upgrade

🦺 the new Rokeby Park and Ride facility.

These two projects will improve travel choices and road safety for the eastern shore community.

Members of the public can provide feedback on each of the designs from Monday, 13 October 2025 to Monday, 10 November 2025.

You can share your thoughts online or come along to an in-person session at the Grace Centre, 11 Ralph Terrace, Rokeby:

⭐ Tuesday, 14 October 2025 - 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
⭐ Thursday, 16 October 2025 - 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm

Feedback gained during the consultation period will help inform future detailed designs for the upgrades.

Find out more about the two projects and consultation here: https://www.transport.tas.gov.au/roadworks/current_projects/south_road_projects/sa-and-rokeby-consultation
