Join the north-west riders on Sunday 28 June for the 25 km Penguin Loop.
Meet ride leader Howard at the car park next to the public toilets on Dial Street in Ulverstone, ready to head off at 11 am.

The group will ride to Penguin via South Road and stop for a coffee, then return along the coastal Penguin Road and Coastal Pathway where it’s available. BYO lunch or buy locally for after the ride.

Tamar Bicycle Users Group (TBUG) will be at Kinda. Collective's local sustainability expo on Saturday 27 June in Launceston.

Drop by the university campus at 2 Invermay Road between 10 am and 4 pm to talk all things bikes with the TBUG volunteers. It's free to get in and there will be workshops and other stallholders to chat to.

Meet at 9.45 am at the Longley Pub to ride down Huon and Leslie roads then picking your way through Kingston on paths to the beach before returning.

Registrations are open for this year’s Rail Trail Run & Ride, 19 and 20 September, celebrating the North East Rail Trail.

Sunday is the day for riding events – 7 km, 18 km, 30 km and 54 km courses are on offer, including e-bike options. Early bird pricing is available until 24 August with tickets ranging from $10 to $50, depending on length.

🚧 Rail Trail Closure Notice 🚧 North East Tasmania Rail Trail
Scottsdale Rotary Club is advising that a section of the North East Tasmania Rail Trail will be temporarily closed for essential maintenance.
📅 Closure Dates: Monday 15 & Tuesday 16 June 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00am – 3:00pm
📍 Location: Between King Street and Butlers Road, Scottsdale
These works are being carried out to improve the trail surface and ensure a better, safer experience for all users.
For your safety, we kindly ask that trail users avoid this section during the closure period.
✅ The trail will reopen after 3:00pm on Tuesday 16 June.
🙏 A big thank you to Dorset Council for their support in enhancing the trail.
We appreciate your patience while these important improvements are completed!
