✨ Swipe to see the transformation. ➡️

A room might just look like four walls, but for a young person rebuilding their life, it can mean so much more.

It can be a place to feel safe.

A place to rest.
A place to study.
A place to simply be.

Thanks to the incredible support of Choices Flooring Moonah, our rooms at Colville Place have been transformed into welcoming spaces that helps a young person feel comfortable, valued and at home.

Partnerships like this remind us that creating brighter futures isn't just about one organisation—it's about a community coming together to make a real difference.

To everyone at Choices Flooring, and to our friends at Wilson Homes for the intro, thank you for helping us create spaces where young Tasmanians can feel a sense of safety, belonging and hope. 💛

More than a room makeover, this is a space to feel safe, comfortable and at home.

This transformation wouldn’t be possible without the power of community.

Huge thanks to Choices Flooring Moonah and Wilson Homes for support in transforming these spaces and helping create a place where young people can feel at home.

🌿 Swipe to see what community partnership looks like. ➡️

Behind every welcoming space is a community of people who care.

Recently, the amazing team from Wilson Homes spent the day at Mara House, rolling up their sleeves to:

🌱 Create spaces that invite connection.
🌼 Bringing life back into the gardens.
🏡 Helping Mara House feel even more like home.

Their generosity inspired others to get involved too.

Thanks to Wilson Homes' incredible partners, plastering was completed, plants were generously donated to brighten the gardens, and bathroom tiling was repaired, each contribution helping make Mara House an even more welcoming place.

These improvements might seem like small changes on their own, but together they create something much bigger: spaces that feel cared for, respected and ready to support young people as they build their futures.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, skills, materials and generosity. Your support is helping create places where young Tasmanians can experience safety, belonging and the comfort of feeling at home.

Caught up with Angelo this week to collect a very generous donation of Dollars for Change cash. 💌

We're continually impressed by the team at Da Angelo Ristorante Battery Point driving this initiative, to Angelo and Marco for helping guide the program, and of course to all the wonderfully caring patrons that choose to pop money in these envelopes at the end of each meal.

Thank you all for helping us make a difference to young people across Tasmania 😍

Next time you're looking for a delicious slice, head on down to support the team and say hi! 🍕

💛 It takes a community to create a place that feels like home.

Recently, the incredible team from Wilson Homes rolled up their sleeves at Mara House, spending the day gardening, landscaping, weeding and giving our outdoor spaces some much-needed care.
But the impact didn't stop there.

Thanks to the generosity of Wilson Homes' partners, fresh plastering was completed, beautiful plants were donated, and bathroom tiling was repaired—helping create spaces that are welcoming, comfortable and ready to support the young people who call Mara House home.

To everyone who gave their time, skills and generosity, thank you. Together, you've helped create more than refreshed spaces—you've helped create an environment where young people can feel safe, valued and at home. 💛

During the last week of Term 2, we celebrated successful completion of our Merge program across some primary schools around Tassie.

Across two terms in the Merge Program, some of the Grade 6 Boys around Southern Tasmania schools:

🩶Showed courage + bravery in talking about what it's like being a boy growing up.
🩶Completed learnings and activities to challenge rigid gender stereotypes and improve confidence, self-worth and respect to be the best version of themselves.
🩶Built their own drums and sticks and made some noise to say, "no to violence"! Big thank you to Bunnings again for the materials!
🩶Welcomed special guests from Tas Police to build relationships and break down barriers and work together to end violence against women.
🩶Learnt about regulating emotions and strengthening communication skills.
🩶Starred in a documentary!!

Since commencing in 2025, we've worked with 112 young men in Southern Tasmania across 12 primary schools and have seen positive change in boys' attitudes towards women.

Everyone deserves safety, belonging and a future and creating that takes all of us.

This Homelessness Week, we're reminded that lasting change happens when communities come together.

To our staff, volunteers, partners, supporters and everyone who believes in the potential of the people we walk alongside, THANK YOU. Your support helps create safe places to land, opportunities to grow, and brighter futures every day.

If you'd like to be part of creating change, we'd love to have you alongside us. Visit the link in our bio to discover the many ways you can support us. Whether that's partnering with us, donating, shopping our merchandise or helping us share our story.

Because everyone deserves more than a roof over their head. They deserve the opportunity to belong, to thrive, and to build the future they choose. 💛

A safe home is the foundation for recovery, wellbeing and hope.

This Homelessness Week, we're recognising that preventing homelessness is just as important as responding to it.

Through our Eureka programs, we walk alongside adults living with mental ill-health who are at risk of losing their housing. Together, we build everyday life skills, strengthen connections and provide practical support to help people maintain their tenancy and create greater stability for the future.

Because everyone deserves the opportunity to feel safe at home, stay connected to their community, and continue building the life they want.

"People do care."

Those three words can change everything for a young person facing homelessness.
This Homelessness Week, we're celebrating the power of early support, safe spaces and trusted relationships.

At Mara House, young women find more than a place to stay. They find stability, encouragement and the opportunity to plan for what's next, knowing they're not facing it alone.

Because when young people know someone cares, hope grows, confidence returns, and brighter futures become possible.

Homelessness can happen to anyone.

This Homelessness Week, we're encouraging our community to look beyond the stereotypes and see the person behind the experience.

Behind every young person experiencing homelessness is a story, a challenge, and the need for support, not judgement.

At Colville Place, we provide more than accommodation. We create a safe place where young people can build confidence, develop everyday life skills and take the next steps towards independence.

Together, we can build a community where every young person is met with understanding, connection and hope.
