NEW EXCLUSIVE SUNCREEN PARTNER – LA ROCHE-POSAY

We are delighted to announce our exclusive sunscreen partnership with La Roche-Posay, the number one skincare brand recommended by dermatologists worldwide. The new five-year partnership will support critical research into lifesaving melanoma treatment and accelerate awareness of sun safety.

“Australia's alarming skin cancer rates demand a united front. We are so proud to stand with Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) to raise awareness on sun safety and pioneering critical research in the treatment of skin cancer,” - Alex Davison, CEO, L’Oréal Australia & New Zealand.

Under the partnership, Melanoma Institute Australia’s logo will feature on La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios SPF50+ range from late 2024.

“Our organisations have many synergies – as global leaders in our respective fields, we are evidence-based, driven by science, and have a clear focus on reducing the burden of melanoma in our country,” - MIA CEO Matthew Browne.

“We also share a passion for encouraging Australians to enjoy our great outdoors, but to do it safely. This 5-year partnership will not only see our collective voices raise much-needed awareness about sun safety, and keep it top of mind for all Australians, but it will also help fuel MIA’s vital research to find new and more effective treatments to save lives from melanoma.”

“I thought it was really engaging and I learnt a lot that I otherwise would not have. The day taught useful skills and important information that I will take with me through the rest of my life.” – Year 9 SunSafe Ambassador.

Zero deaths from melanoma starts with our children. This is why MIA invites secondary schools to participate in the SunSafe Student Ambassador Program by attending one of our free workshops – held in Sydney, Perth, Wagga Wagga and Hobart – which will empower students to share the sun safe message in their own school. Students learn about melanoma, the importance of sun safety and how to deliver an engaging presentation.

This program kicks off in just under a month! Don't miss the opportunity for your teenager's school to participate. Limited spaces are available for Year 8 and 9 students & teachers to attend.

Today is the last day of the financial year - a perfect time to make a tax-deductible donation (if you haven't already).

Melanoma Institute Australia has been at the forefront of global melanoma advances which have made the once incurable, curable.

Whilst incredibly proud of these breakthroughs, we still have so much to do. We can see the finish line, but are not there yet.

Please donate this tax time so we can continue our vital research and ultimately save ALL lives from melanoma, and continue to impact other cancers > https://bit.ly/4eLiv63

There are THREE DAYS left of this financial year, so it's not too late to make a tax-deductible donation to support our life-saving research.

Little more than a decade ago, only 5% of advanced melanoma patients survived 5 years. Now, thanks to research and new treatments, including immunotherapy, more than 55% of advanced melanoma patients are effectively cured.

The focus of our research is now on the remaining 45% of advanced melanoma patients who either don’t respond, or develop resistance, to the same treatments that prove life-saving for others.

Any gift you can generously give this tax time will help us save ALL lives from melanoma, and continue to also impact other cancers.

Please donate here > https://bit.ly/3VLhp19 or phone 1300 882 353.
